The Official Black Mirror Thread: Season 6 on Netflix Now

Can someone shed some light on that ep 1 ending? Did they wife just say F it go be virtually gay on holidays and ill go get some real ****?

Pretty much, he was honest and she wanted to go be a thotie win win I guess. Weird that it was their wedding anniversary date I think.

This **** right here though had me ROLLING

I mean I totally get dudes, Neckbeards, mouth breathers, and super nerds wanting to bang videogame/anime characters if only cuz I've seen and heard it before.

In rpg games, guys and girls choose to play as opposite sex characters all the time.

NTers openly admit they want to smash Lola Bunny.

Then theres the real world fact that we're on the verge of a sexual revolution with these life like sex bots being made to replace females who don't give it up.

The twist is what makes the weirdness of it all so real. The idea that playing videogames with your boys is gay though....

That Miley Cyrus ep was some close to Lifetime type ****.

The ep where Moriarity abducts Franklin had close to nothing to do with the themes of the show. Fam looks @ one alert on his phone, gets in to a car crash with a drunk driver and wants to vent ti the CEO of a social media company. The only theme being the whole tying it together is the social media/tech focus.

I didn't watch the credits of the 2nd episode, did they reveal who got shot?

I did and nope. Looked up online and that was on purpose.

The scenes in between credits just showed some of the characters in the ep and random citizens reactions to the outcome.

I also watched out of order. Know way was I leavung off on that Miley Cyrus ep so I watched that after Striking Vipers and saw Smithereens last.

I watched the Hannah Montana episode first. That was complete trash.

Bad acting.

Lame story.

Uninteresting characters.

What was with the Dad being into rat trap technology? Really? He invented a rat stun gun? With Grain technology and alllll the other tech in THIS episode. Oh that was just a plot device introduced so the girl could zap an adult. Cool cool.

Miley with the Boo-hoo I hate my life why can’t I be myself character motivation. So corny. Did she write this script or what? She’s so bad at acting :lol

Did I miss some sort of bigger meaning to this episode or was it really that basic and trash? Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too....... who TF is jack? The dad? Why is he in the title and only 1 sister? TRASH

I watched the Miley Cirus episode second and saved Smithereens for last as it sounded like the best from a few people's comments.

That episode was pretty damn bad. So many logical leaps for the sake of drama and holding the story together made it hard to watch. It was cool seeing Jerrah Milligan and James III on there though as they're 2/3 of one of my favorite podcasts.

Trash episode, but still somewhat compelling with certain moments.

I got halfway through Smithereens last night and had to go to bed. Will finish up when I get home. Makes me really miss the long 10 episode seasons. This season definitely feels like they kind of got away from the formula a bit. Feels like they dropped this now to make up for Bandersnatch. Hopefully this isn't the end and we still get a few episodes in Oct-Nov.

1st episode was a nice warmup, lol i was expecting someone to die or for them to to atleast explain why they programmed that INTO the game.
but neither of those things made sense

I was telling my wife about the crap you can do in RDR2, like take NPC's and feed them to crocs and how someone who worked on the game actually thought of that and knew someone would do that in the game, I was hoping for Manta and Falcon to take some secret road trip to the developers and ask them on some meaning of life bull ish
again I know that doesn't make any sense

2nd episode got a legendary late night rant from me, because I stayed up late to watch that and there was NO PAYOFF
I hate how EVERY season(except the first 2) has this type of episode.

3rd episode I saw Miley Cyrus on the preview screen and said goodnight

Made the right choice hoarding those 3 episodes of the handmaid's tale

I'm gonna throw my tinfoil hat on...

That Miley episode might be an interpretation of her own life. I mean it resembles her switch up.

Hannah Montana to ratchet twerking Miley? Seems too similar to be coincidence.

huh, looka that. somehow I didn't catch on, but then again I guess I don't spend much time thinking about Miley Cyrus.

with "Smithereens" I did like how they showed that Not Mark Zuckerberg could easily access any information on the Internet, personal or private, in a few seconds.

that is way too much power for one person to have and he has it.

also, I choose to believe

that only the hostage-taker got shot. Jayden (lol) was just an intern, come tf on.

The premise of that first episode was original AF, I personally loved it, really had me thinking, are they gay? Is it an emotional connection? Or just physical? I think they were legit in love and the characters were just a visual aid for them to accept with more ease their preference..

that's the thing tho! if you're best friends for decades, there's an emotional element there, a wealth of mutual knowledge and a long list of shared experiences.

that's legit half of a romantic relationship right there.

think of the next generation...this is what I mean when I tell everyone that will stand still long enough that everyday life is going to be SO WEIRD in like 25 years.

Watching Black Mirror episode.
I said this in another thread before even seeing episode. I get so sick and tired of black guys being played gay in Hollywood. They just think it is so hilarious, the subtle not so subtle attempt at trying to breakdown our masculinity. Why couldn't dude in USS Calister episode be gay, that is the Star Trek like episode early in the show. Oh what that wouldn't be funny or cool then?

Also regarding the episode though, really dudes play female characters to try and hide those urges. I played many female characters in video games and none of those urges over here. Then it confused me because he was checking out the one woman at his birthday party, like checking her out HARD. So much so she caught on and introduced her new man to him. Then he was checking out the woman getting into her SUV the next morning. Black Mirror is real funny in how it does things, anyway notices the plethora of women around both of them when they cut it off. All these women around and these two want another man. I thought she would catch him by going into the virtual world. Still trash certainly looking at Anthony different going forward. Remind me when top white actors played gay and kissed dudes?
Wife in the episode tight dude should have definitely been splitting that in half nightly. :smh:.
Sigh why Anthony Mackie hair so trash, dude needs a hard bristle hair brush and just cut the facial hair off. My dude just cut it off and give it up.

Black Manta was at least straight. He never questioned that. He was in to those women he just wasnt fulfilled relationship wise. Story tried to paint playas who cant have a real long term relationship as lowkey dudes who want to be women and get penetrated virtually.

Like okay new tech to make you experience a fight as if you're in the game but everything works? The characters are anatomically correct? Why?

So now fam is getting fulfilled virtually and in the real world he's become the male version of a cat lady.

Couldn't even finish that first episode. Turned it off after they got out the car in the rain.
Why the main characters had to be black? Definitely an agenda behind this.

smithereens was entirely too long imo. i liked the message tho. sadly i dont think it will do anything. bill bower wasn't lying, he's led the way to making electronic crack. The song playing at the end was a clear reference to phones 'you're just too good to be true, i can't take my eyes off of you'. I peeped that when the dude was at the green light and couldnt take his eyes off the phone.

Smithereens and Homoerotic street fighter episodes were solid, but not as good as previous seasons. Not even really close.

That Miley Cyrus episode was big trash.

They could have made the Miley robot evil or something to give commentary on Alexa-like robot assistants or something.

It ended up being some dark fan-girl bogusness.

Black mirror is still my second favorite series ever.

I seriously thought the Miley episode was gonna end with the fan girl replacing her because she wanted to be popular.

Totally thought when they were fighting the dude and Miley was tied down he was gonna be like
" I can make you famous, have you ever wanted to be loved."

And the end was gonna be fan girl performing

I miss the old Black Mirror where every ending was dark. Or it was as good as it could get.

Just my preference

Definitely got more political in the first 2 episodes of this new season.
