Spoiler [+]
Curren$y has sued Damon Dash for releasing two of his albums without permission.

According to TMZ, Spitta and Dame attempted to negotiate a deal to release music via DD172 in 2010, but the deal never went through. Dash released two of his albums that year, but failed to execute a contract. Curren$y then signed with Warner Bros. last year.

But after Curren$y signed with WBR, Dash continued to release his music, despite the fact that Spitta's new label had exclusive rights to his music. Curren$y is suing Dash for $1.5 million in damages and demands that he stop profiting off of him in any way.

Dash has already filed a response to the suit, claiming that he has the legal right to release his albums and was given permission. He also states that Curren$y screwed him over by ignoring their agreement and instead signing with WBR. A judge is yet to rule on the matter.

HipHopDX will keep you updated as more information comes to light.

Maybe he got taken advantage of on those a bit, but I think it's mainly due to the release of MCC... clearly nothing on that album was recent $pitta.
Old tracks/verses thrown together and called an album.

That's partially what MCC was suppose to be though. Old Spitta over new, live instrumentals, there was a few new songs, but not much. I think the album was suppose to be all new music over the live/rock instrumentals and then the old Spitta songs were suppose to be like bonus tracks and then the movie. But obviously Dame ++!%@* it all up which was why we got what we got with MCC, some Spitta and then Dame trying to be sly about pushing his rock/alternative artist including their songs as "bonus" on MCC.

I remember a point and time where Dame Dash was perhaps the most savvy (top 3) hip hop figures in music. Now he is reduced to releasing Spitta's music without permission? Damn, Dame...

I love spitta and like styles p a lot but I can't bring myself to listen to this tape. I just don't see how they vibe in the same lane
