I've got Best as my #2 back behind Gore. I'm worried he might breakout early and teams will stack the box and force Stafford to win with his arm. I've got Michael Bush on the bench and I just offered a dude Austin Collie for McFadden, so I can have a 1-2 combo as a little insurance. I've got 7 WR's and only 4 RB's, so it'll balance my squad out a little more.

Good idea?

You can't think like that, although I know where you are coming from. But the Lions aren't that bad where if Best is shut down they are F'ed. Stafford has 3 options now to throw to...Megatron, Nate Burleson and Tony Sheffler. Best is going to fit right in

best is going to be used heavily in the passing game.. if it's any lions' RB who has to be concerned about teams packing it in, it's zevin smith.. this is the quote i liked best about the new lions "it's as if they set themselves up for 16 weeks of shootouts"

but the way the lions have structured that team, they have set up stafford to to succeed.. he now has megatron, burleson, scheffler, pettergrew and best to use in the passing game (take stafford late in your drafts, he could have a MONSTER year.. between having the tools and the DBs in the NFC north aren't that great.. hell even that packers D got lit up in the playoffs).. bryant johnson is another huge receiver and kevin smith has worked hard to come back from his knee injury..

but you have to figure best will get a good shot at succeeding when his coach says things like this "Some people watch adult videos on their computer; I go to YouTube and watch Jahvid Best highlight clips. That's what gets me going."

Had a draft tonight in my keeper league that is going into its fourth year. I kept Mendenhall and Foster. This is my first year without Tom Brady so I'll have to stress out over which QB to start.

Venom/Fizzy can you all take a look at this and see what you think:

I think that team is real solid. Only thing that worries me is my QB play. I could use an upgrade at WR as well. The spot that Best is taking up is a WR/RB/TE flex.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Had my first ever auction draft tonight as well. Didn't know what to expect and didn't really have a plan going in. I definitely spent too much money early and had no funds left for QBs.

I think I'm loaded at RB/WR, but weak at QB and TE. I am trying to claim Heath Miller off waiver wire by dropping Vince Young. What do y'all think??

I feel like my draft for the NT league went well. You experts have any suggestions on who to drop for any other position?

Matt Shaub, Carson Palmer
Chris Johnson, Ronnie Brown, Cadillac Williams, Lawrence Maroney, Marshawn Lynch (dont ask

)
Larry Fitzgerald, Robert Meachem, Derrick Mason, Austin Collie, Sidney Rice (I know he's hurt. Figured I'd grab him with a late pick and keep him until he's playing again)
Dallas Clark, Todd Heap
Ryan Longwell
NYJ D

Need some input on a possible trade that was proposed to me.

Get: Romo, Maroney
Give: Alex Smith, Stephen Jackson

I have Favre and Smith is my back up, dudes not interested in Favre and I'm concerned about no Rice and his ankle.  My other backs are Best, Barber, Wells, Cadillac.

I wouldn't do it.

At 1st glace I understand Romo is tempting, but Alex Smith I think will have a very good year especially for a back up fantasy qb. Steven Jackson isn' getting alot of love but he still is a top 10 back in the NFL. You are giving up much more than you are getting back.
