Express Scripts. -Department of Defense(tri-care) Prior Authorizations.
say your Dr. gives you a prescription for a medication.........your insurance will have certain requirements for you to meet before they will pay for it.......Such as using the generic or having a specific diagnosis...........
Ex. Guy gets a prescription for Viagra, 10 tablets for 30 days.........the insurance will cover Viagra, only if he has tried Cialis and/or levitra..........and will only cover 6 tablets per 30 days unless you have BPH or PAH (pulmonary arterial hypertension). The company requires that the Dr complete the prior authorization before they will give you Viagra. (or the dr can switch to cialis or levitra, or whatever is on your insurance`s formulary )
The dr office will have to fax or call in a prior authorization over the phone and complete a criteria questionnaire.........Im pretty much the person that they would be talking to. (although lately ive been training new people and assisting with other duties......i havent been on the phone for over 3 weeks).
WIll be 2 years in June..........I actually applied to the job because of the "out of work" thread when someone told me they dont keep records for Temp employees.........so they didnt know/realize that i had worked her before and been fired for being on the internet too much, lol
Yup........we talk to reps all the time to enter PA`s and/or sends fax forms for dr`s and stuff like that..........I deal with Express Scripts on a daily basis.... I work for anthem Blue Cross, we have reps here who handle member services calls for Express Scripts.
Damb 14hr???I was working pipeline construction for a few months here in North Dakota but had to quit recently. Pay is really good but the hours and and working conditions are crazy, was working 10-14hrs a day 6-7 days a week. Only days off we got was when it was -40 outsideits dangerous work but it def pays well.
OP if you're brave enough look into jobs in North Dakota. Minimum wage is 14/Hr. Heck Walmart pays 17-18 to start. Only thing that sucks is rent is od expensive. Most people live in RV's to save money.
Good luck to you OP
