X 500. Well I have a question for those who own a plastic case. Does the case easily scratch up?

I'm also still not sure whether to get a black or white one. I was going to get the white one and get the iSkin eclipse color one but it's out of stock :frown:

I'm happy that the iPod line up was simplified. Shuffle, Nano, 30g and 60g, with video standard.

I just got my 30g and I'm loving the video feature. I'm just trying to figure out how to put porn and Family Guy and Simpsons DVDs on it, right now all I've got is purchased music videos.
 
I had two. One messed up and they gave me a new one. Then I had that one and it fell hard on the cement. R.I.P. Man I forgot about iPodlounge. I'll look into it later.

The price for both is almost the same. i'm leaning more towards the ipod, but my cousin has one and told me that the battery life is bad and he wouldn't recommend it.

Use iTunes. Put the CD in your computer and the upper right icon will turn into a yellow icon that says 'import cd'. If you are connected to the Internet it will most likely download the song/artist/album information for you so you don't need to type it in. Hit the import cd icon and it will copy the music to your computer and iTunes library ready to go. You can adjust what file format (MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless etc.) via preferences in iTunes before, btw.

A few questions from a non-iPod owner:

-how high does the volume go up without distortion as compared to a regular Discman/CD player?

-does is have strong bass sound?

-can it playback WMA format music files?

-is there enough RAM to properly play a Lossless quality file with a very highbitrate? Like 1000 kbps

i also have a questioin,i recently purchase an ipod video 30gig,and they only give you 14 days to return it,and theres only a 2-year warrenty with that,so after the 2 years the 300 you purchased was pointless,some people told me they exchange it for the new version that comes out but i asked the apple people and they said theres no way you can do this,i also heard the battery dies in a couple years and your going to have to purchase a new one,unless some1 can convince me i will be returning it soon

I turned mine on earlier and it was all the way up when it came on and I thought I blew an eardrum. I took the headphones out and set them on the desk and the song played fine all the way up. No distortion at all. And this was with just the regular headphones that come with it.

I think the mods/admins should just create a new forum for electronics which could deal w/questions on ipods and upcoming vid game consoles/games, etc.

I already have the Invisible Shield.I remember someone posting what he did with his video iPod.He had the Invisible Shield and something else.Anyone remember what it was??
 
Anyone know any other iPod synching programs besides iTunes that will allow you to transfer photos as well? iTunes won't install on my computer, but I use the Winamp plug-in for songs..need something for photos..
 
Has anyone tried replacing their own battery?

My Mini does not hold its charge for @#%$, and I dont wanna send it in to Apple if I dont have to. Any ideas?

^if your warranty is still intact, you could take it to the closest apple store and see if they can fix it for you.
