Its not the fact the he went commercial or the fact that he tried to go dark/grim. Its the average bars he spits now, point blank period. Improbably the biggest jay fan, nh i lost my mind when i caught dudes hat at the concert last year, but he just doesnt do it anymore.

I remember after he "retired", every remix he jumped he straight MURDERED it

, now it just seems like he spits what he thinks the people want to hear. Andwhen I say people, I mean the people who call TRL and request the top 10 videos for the day.

Point is, why cant a rapper be lyrical and commercial at the same time? example: "H to the Izzo".

Exactly. I just gave it a third listen and really didnt pay attention to Jay's verses but as soon as Ye's came on I got focused
