RIM has officially announced that BlackBerry Desktop Manager software for MAC will be available this September. THANK YOU RIM. You can visit blackberry.com/mac to sign up for updates and learn more or visit the Inside BlackBerry blog to see a few screen captures of it in action. Key features found in the first release will include:

Sync your iTunes playlists, calendars, contacts, notes and tasks
Add/Remove applications
Update your device when new software becomes available
Backup and restore your device data with such features like automatically scheduled backups and optional encryption (security is #1 as always...)
Manage multiple devices

How do I make VLC my main player for AVI files? I tried to do the
right click > open with > Other > VLC > Check 'always open with'

But it only does it for the file I selected. If I try to open another AVI file it'll go back to Quicktime.

Right click --> Get Info --> Open with ---> VLC Then look under that and it should say Change All. Click that and youre good.

but yeah, i have a problem with burning cd's from itunes. it always gives me an error. the cd's would play but only till like track 6 or 7.

i have the same problem, have gone through 4-5 different optical drives and 2 computers.

i may be inheriting my sisters macbook. Its the first gen with just the core duo. It only has 1 gb of ram but i wanna max it out to 2. Will any laptop ram onnewegg with the correct specs work? Because they have a mac option when you navigate to memory on newegg. I know crucial makes ram for mac's. Any inputwould be great. Thanks.
