Because Lebron is mentally frail and would crack under the pressure when they actually allowed players to talk **** in the 90's.  Dude is the most mentally weak superstar ever.

Take away lebrons elite athletism and the dude wouldn't even be in the NBA.

1) that hand check thing not being in today's game is a pure myth passed along :lol: hand checking is alive and well in today's NBA. Steph, bron, kyrie, all are victims of handchecking. Its not called nearly as much as it should be if it "isnt allowed"

2) You're watching a decling lebron try and finish against draymond who's loading up and waiting on lebron who's working to get to the rim against all world defenders in klay and iggy. Prime lebron is a basketball savant who is one of the finest physical specimens in league history. Fact of the matter is those guys you mentioned he would meet at the rim would either foul him or give up 2 pts to him. Those guys you mentioned cant wait for lebron at the rim like draymond and others can now, thanks to the current rules.

Back in the day when the pace was crazy, defense was far more of a 1v1 thing as opposed to what it is now. Lebron, kobe, whoever a lot of those guys would benefit from those kind of rules. Loading up and shadow doubling makes offense a lot harder for star players.

hypothetical. before you could just clog the paint. you cant do that anymore.  way easier to penetrate the paint these days thats a fact.

You couldnt clog the paint back then man that would be illegal.

You would have to be guarding someone and if that guy was outside the paint thats where you had to be.

In today's league you dont even have to worry abt clogging the paint because your bigs and second line are meeting you before you even get to the rim thus making it harder for guys like kobe lebron kyrie etc
 
If that man can't take draymond calling him a ban imagine him crying from the hand checking and hard fouls back then. Dude would be flopping to the stands.

Payton, Jordan, Pippen, Miller, Bird, Magic would've killed him with the trash talk, without the BAN part, that's what is really sad.
 
Stephen A Smith saying other players told him it was wrong for lebrom to go to the press conference and cry about what draymond said to him and that was gonna open up the door for everything
 
Prime example is the okc series with gsw when roberson was on the floor.

Dudes would leave roberson and straight wall up on westbrook and durant whenever they were in wing iso situations

That would be illegal in yesterday's nba.

Imagine someone like dave cowens or somebody having to guard kd or bron with no immediate help behind him :x
 
Hand checking is still alive and well

Just look at how they guard Curry away from the ball

And you can overload the strong side in today's nba but back then that would be illegal defense.

No u stop that. U stop observing things. That gif when draymond was staring dude down should tell people enough. I miss the sports days of going back n forth with people. Trash talking is the 2nd best thing in sports behind winning, I love it.

Meh. Body language can be subjective depending on the viewer.

That much is fact, which is why I refrain from diagnosing someone as mentally weak based on what I see on television.

Regardless, you cant win 2 rings, grab 2 finals mvps, 4 league mvps, and like 2 gold medals or whatever being "mentally weak." At least I dont think so.
