The Official NBA Season Thread: Business is about to pick up 🗣️

I know he didn't have a no trade clause or make, for his time frame Bradley Beal's $$$$, but didn't Magic Johnson go in on TNT, 15 or so years ago about Devean George holding up a trade and Magic was saying if you do this, you're done in the NBA. What's the difference with Beal not wanting to go to certain teams at a 50 million contract and coming off the bench when the powers that be no longer want him around?

I always love the We'll give you ____ for your franchise player when players like Fox are available

He's a game changer for any contender outside Boston/OKC imo

I played Fox in high school. He was a freshman and I was a senior. Best player I’ve ever went against live. It was at that moment I knew the NBA was no where near my future

Similar story.

I seen Steve Francis hoop at Run n Shoot back in his Maryland/early NBA days…bruh was killin cats casually.

Swear he didn’t break a sweat and other cats was gassed.

NBA cats are different for sure.

What was so different about a future NBA caliber player

What things did you notice or see that made you realize it was another world from where you were at or get to

Definitely the athleticism and the physical profile. I was just baffled at how fast he was and how athletic he was. In layup lines I’m slapping the back board, and gotta max jump just to rim graze. Dude had his hand by the rim on simple layups. And he was so gah damn fast. Arms was hella long. In Cypress (suburb of Houston I’m from) he was basically John Wall. And it’s crazy cuz he’s known as a non shooter but in high school bruh I swear he was a pure shooter. I’m talking DEEP range.

The franchise was a beast! Yeah man the way I look at it, it’s actually a blessing/ opportunity to say you’ve went up against one. Especially as you become an adult. Makes for great bar stories
