If you are taking off from that far clearly you have no regard for human life.
Is the defense suppose to just let you score? If you ban charges the fouls will just get harder when a player goes for a dunk.

People in this thread actually want to see it though.
I posted this gif 2 years ago and people seemed to enjoy this in the game.
Sliding in last second has always been a trash call. You shoudnt be able to get that call as a defender once the offensive layer jumps, or hell even has that last gather.
No one said let the player score. If you can get there in time, you can jump and contest the shot. We care about rim protection, right? Kevin love is 6’10”. Jump in the air hands up. Grant williams does it. Horford does it.If you are taking off from that far clearly you have no regard for human life.

'Getting into people's way' also known as playing defenseThis whole getting into people's way at the last second hoping they crash into you thing was always dangerous and stupid

The "sacrifice" is basically stuntman work where you throw yourself on the ground as soon as you feel contactWho is making more of a sacrifice? Me taking off from 12 feet or you running under me?
It's also known as a blocking foul, reaching foul, clear path foul, the list goes on if we're being clever with semantics'Getting into people's way' also known as playing defense
Ok but you're talking about beating someone to the spot right? That's called defense. If you're late, it's called a foulIt's also known as a blocking foul, reaching foul, clear path foul, the list goes on if we're being clever with semantics
Yea this should be a flagrant foul. Sliding in last second or when a player is already airborne, I’m not a fan of
But if you are set, and a player is driving tryna dunk it on you, or you know the direction they’re gonna take, nah I can’t agree with banning the charge.

You just told me this was called defenseThis whole getting into people's way at the last second hoping they crash into you thing was always dangerous and stupid
If you get there first you get there first. Doesn't really matter if it's the last secondYou just told me this was called defense
You aren’t able to do this now. If called correctly…it’s called a blocking foul .
Some of y’all wanna ban charges all together and make it even harder to play any defense at all?
