The Official NBA Season Thread: HO HO HO

next game just need whole arena to start "Westbrick" at the free throw line chant

whats he gonna fight everyone in the arena ?

he should of just said something about the score since they won and kept it moving

aint noway in hell westbrick should be getting to him

2nd year in a row Ja missed a bunch of regular season games & had availability issues in the playoffs.

Also the 2nd year since he’s made The Leap. So it’s something to keep an eye on as his usage stays in the 30s.

Kawhi was exactly what you hope he would be in game 1. I was wondering if sitting out so much eventually has negative side effects but he's only played over 65 games three times in his career and over 70 twice. Doesn't seem to matter when it comes to him.

Never was a fan of the charging call where the defender rushes to the spot just to fall on their back with no intention of making a play on the ball. It's just a legal flop.

Oh god, here we go... :rolleyes

BAN it

Nothing to do with them being dangerous. They are garbage plays that are called incorrectly more often than any other play in basketball

An arbitrary rule we have decided to allow over making defenders contest the shot. Pro-charge dudes act like they're happening on every possession

It would clean up the game nicely and no one would miss them

Only talking about the late help defender slide in. There would obviously still be other types of charges/offensive fouls

Wore and open shirt to the arena. Wore a belly jersey for the smoke.

He must've been feeling his abs yesterday.

If it was never allowed NOBODY would be calling for it to be a thing

yeah I don't like how the defensive player can just slide underneath when the offensive player is coming down from something like a jump pass. The defensive player wasn't there when he jumped so idk why it's a charging foul

We lighting that beam tonight :hat

Sac town get it done don’t disappoint us warriors haters

Curry got 38 and 30 dropped pon his head top on Saturday

Gonna need a 30 piece from sabonis tonight

People in this thread actually want to see it though.

I posted this gif 2 years ago and people seemed to enjoy this in the game.

When he played all those minutes in the Laker game and didn’t need a week off after, it was clear he was in playoff shape.

That being said, they’re going every other day through G4. He’s gonna be dead by that game. You saw Ty didnt even sub him in the 2nd half until he was grabbing his shorts & gave up an easy blowby to KD in the fourth

Luckily for them, the Suns have no bench  So their stars are gonna be just as dead, their jumpers just as flat.

Protects the offensive player from falling face first. The play Ja Morant made on Rui was the perfect example. Sure he has a jet pack on his back but still.
Ehh. Seems like it could actually make it worse. Now you have two airborne players 5 feet from the hoop and if the defender is already in position it's still a charge and he's gonna go crashing backwards and the offense seems like he has nowhere to land but on the defense. If you look at the Ja play it definitely woulda been worse since it's small v big. It's the offense's job to avoid the contact if the defense is already standing there

System kawhi vs system KD

kd's been so unconcerned about his legacy that he's always claiming his legacy is set in stone when people question it. so unconcerned that he's exclusively demanded to be traded to top seeded/"packed" teams when things haven't gone as planned.
