The Official NBA Season Thread: I’m like Jayson Tatum in the Olympics I'm not playing

And people dare believe Drake won vs Kenny lol.

The part that took me out was Kenny and his happy family dancing on his grave/in their living room, meanwhile Drake still yearns for that traditional maple leaf syrup sucking family, but had to settle for a baby mama thats good at sucking somethin' else.....
She low key looking better now…

A new nose and art washing the stench off of her makes her a Kardashian.

Not to distract from your post.

And why the hell wasn't Drake @ Wayne Day?

"Sophie knows better as your baby mother
Cleaned her up for IG, but the stench is on her"
I loved the bar. Appropriate for them razor personal barbs after the Canadian decided to mention Pusha’s wife. SMH at him not learning his lesson. He definitely be demonstrating howe behavior.

But it’s kind of crazy…his homie married a porn star that the whole hood watched the tape.

I dunno. I agree on offering mental therapy. But it is a business…and they don’t want bad business. If this was from a few years ago, cool…discuss what steps were taken afterwards to distance yourself.

Plus you got the optics of a player “brushing” up against a “journalist.”

David Stern was not with the games. He’d knee jerk after a major incident. Ol’ warden *** ninja.

I agree, they (him, team, NBA) could publicly state what he has done to rehabilitate himself since the incident.

Other than that, what can the NBA do ?

I don't know about SIlver man but he seems to be too far on the opposite end of the pendulum when compared to Stern. Almost like one of those teachers that would let his students curse in class because he doesn't want to silence their true voices.

You’re selling Demar short.
Im not, it's fine to not pay attention to teams you don't care about. but you're just wrong about this. everything I've said about Demar is 100% factual.

- He compiled points with mediocre efficiency,
- didn't drive winning as most of our best lineups were with Kyle not with him.
- is statistically one of the worst playoff performers of all time and was bench in multiple playoff games.

these are just facts.

Y’all really didn’t deserve him :lol

For a franchise like the Toronto Raptors….drafting and developing a 20ppg, high flying wing who contributed to multiple 50 win seasons and helped raise/maintain the profile of the raptors is huge. Yall franchise had Barnangi, then Bosh who dipped for MIA.

at least you're honest what this is about, Toronto needs to cry and moan and kiss the feat of a mediocre efficiency volume scorer who was horrible in the playoffs.

he didn't raise or maintain anything. the popularity of the team was already established, with VC, and Bosh, throw in some demographic change basketball was already the most popular youth sport in the city.
Demar was just lucky enough to be there when the team got good again.

also Demars first contract extension was considered an overpay at the time, the second was a standard max. he was well compensated for mediocre efficiency and horrible playoff performances.

Demar was there and contributing at the right time, as Toronto/Raptors were increasing their profile, popularity and winning.

It would be like Atlanta Hawks fans ****ting on Joe Johnson or Josh Smith or something

1. are there people out there demanding that the Hawks retire Joe Johnson or Josh Smiths number???
2. I don't think we need to **** on demar, but we don't need to lie either.

he was a guy who was in the right place and the right time, and was lucky enough to play with Kyle Lowry. ring of honour maybe but retiring jerseys is ridiculous.

You're my guy but I really don't think you'd defend Drake if he wasn't Canadian.
well yah exactly, the reason i defend certain things is because im canadian and a raptor fans so I understand the context.

the drake broadcasting things is a reoccurring gimmick, it's always goofy unserious/joking tone.
they ask him to come on knowing that's the deal, it's not like he demands to do it

the idea that it's supposed to be super professional or it somehow took away from the night is absurd.

if you don't like drake just say that. my problem is when people try to make it bigger than it is.

This is a franchise created in ‘96, and theyre not going to retire one of their hall of fame players

It’s a nonsensical discussion

So i guess we gotta retire Bosh also right? he's in the hall of fame.
Tracy will get to the hall probably? retire that one also.
Pascal also right, I mean, by the time his career is over. 20ppg scorer, way more efficient than demar. actually won a ring Gotta retire him also right?

cmon man,

cmon man,
Pascal & Tracy don’t rank anywhere on the franchise all time major leaderboards. Demar left against his will unlike Bosh and had accomplished more than Bosh at the time of his departure.

But you know that, you’re typing just to type now

so it's the hall of fame that matters, its the leaderboard what you are resting your entire argument on? for a franchise that started in 96?

Randy Smith is the clippers all time leading scorer. Is his number handing in the rafters?
Brook Lopez is the nets all time leading scorer, should they retire his?
Kemba on the hornets, is there a massive groundswell to retire his number?

Chris Bosh was once the all time leader, but demar passed him, so if someone else passes demar does that mean we can end this insane idea?

also pascal is 5th in points, 3rd in rebounds (chris bosh is 1) So seems is the rule that you have to be 1? if so why not Bosh??

Not if he is trying to avoid injury.

Pickleball-related injuries are on the rise, doctors say https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/pickleball-injuries-rising-bone-fractures-rcna137044

I don't know if this has anything to do with pickleball, but more to do with the demographics of pickleball.

If an older demographic of people who are not typically active people pick up a fad sport...

I would expect a ton of injuries, even if Pickleball might be a sport that is less prone to injury than other sports.

I can agree with that. Pickleball just so happens to be THE sports so many non-athletes are jumping into.

Also, MOST people don't warm-up properly and I would imagine they are going into this sport cold as well.
