The Official NBA Season Thread: I’m like Jayson Tatum in the Olympics I'm not playing

I'm not mad at it. The disrespect people show to retired players like they played 100 years ago is overboard. It's extremes on both sides and it just turns into who can disrespect the other side more.

This really isn’t it, on a slow day. Because you know damn well…in real times these dudes was saying the warriors were jump shooting frauds, that were soft and couldn’t play defense or match up in their era.

It’s cool again to come out and say this. No other multiple championship team gets disrespected like this. Name one?

Dray literally just told Shaq that the Shaq/Kobe Lakers couldn't shoot. :lol

Kobe, DFish, Horry, Glen Rice, Fox all was good-great shooters.

Not everything that Goodell and the shield does needs to be copied/followed man  :smh:

Day 2 ratings are gonna rival the Lumberjack games

Naw, that’s day Bronny James gets taken with then 58th pick!!

Only 2nd rounder to have Adam silver announce him while wearing his Pops draft day suit!!

I’ll always love that Pistons team but their film against modern PnR ball handlers is concerning to say the least. Down 3-2 to Miami in ‘05 before Wade gets hurt. He’s able to play every game in the series next year and Miami wins. And obviously the Bron matchups were always an issue. I doubt they get enough stops against the warriors.

How is he not a generational player?
Lebron is a generational player. He’s like top 3 of all time. Steph is not a generational player.

Steph is a generational 3pt shooter, like stockton is a generational passer, like Rodman is a generational rebounder, like Mutumbo is a generational blocker.

Steve Nash 2x mvp, generational passer, generational player? Nah.

Are Reggie Miller and Ray Allen generational players? No.

Same with Steph.

Lebron, Jordan, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Shaq, Duncan, Wilt, Russell , Hakeem, Generational players? Yes.

Nice of Lebron to let Steph win 4 titles in his generation.

What’s the game of basketball known for? Shooting a ball into a goal. Who’s the best ever by a country mile to do that…Steph.

He’s as generational as it gets. He changed shooting the way Kareem and Wilt changed post play. It’s pretty nasty work what people are doing to try and discredit this man.

Any questions anyone had of should have been answered by him beating Luka and Brunson and the Celtics with Andrew freakin Wiggins as the 2nd best player. Oh and who did the Celtics have - the first perimeter DPOY since Jordan. He dragged the corpse of Klay and a decent Dray to a title.

31.2 ppg, 6 boards, 5 dimes, 2 steals on 48%, 44%, 86% in the finals. Thats as good as it gets.

The stats show….the most feared man on the offensive side of the ball there has EVER been is Steph Curry and Shaq second. The gravity stat isn’t some made up thing it’s the reality of how warped a court gets. Theres no greater respect a player can have than to draw so much attention that his NBA level teammates can play either 1 on 1 or 4 on 3 every single play.

It’s as simple as this. if he’s out there no one would ever expect the US to lose. When he’s not out there the US loses and people say oh steph wasn’t out there. he is the man. whether you want to admit it or not.

Thank You !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are very few players in the history of basketball who have themselves had a direct influence on literally the way the game is played.

Steph is on that very short list, which necessarily makes him generational to me.
