The Official NBA Season Thread: Kings Fire Mike Brown

What does selling high look like? He’s a specialist and they want to get someone with a more well rounded skill set in place of him

Yeah, I was genuinely asking if there were any potential trade scenarios out there that could benefit the Mavs while THJr is on this tear

can Dallas trade THJ and a future pick to detroit for Bojan? feel like Bojan would be a perfect 3/4 for dallas. can create for himself and others so luka doesn't have to handle all the time and he can space the floor

Is it really worth it to give up a pick for a guy who is 33 and coming off injury?

This is a tough one. Bojan would be the better fit but the problem is he’s an expiring (THJr has two more seasons after this one) so it would be an all-in move for this season and you’re giving up that first. Probably would have to pass

I think Bojan signed a two year extension with detroit last year to keep him through '25. if Dallas does send a pick, i'd say a 2nd rounder.

i hear you on this, it's a high risk move. bojan's been pretty durable outside of recent injuries.

when THJ's contract expires in two years, he'll be 33. will dallas re-sign him if he still wants $20+ mill or let him walk? like you said, he's a specialist. THJ doesn't really move the needle for me in terms of dallas' playoff run.

Kevin Harlan doin Sunday Football on TV
Monday Night Football on radio
Tuesday night NBA on TV

That dude has the life man. :{

Well.....other than sitting next to Reggie Miller, but the live games night after night is pretty awesome.

What’s crazy is how he seems like he does preparation for one game a week when you listen to him off and on… I often hear him on the Westwood One SNF radio broadcast and he’s always on his game educating random angles. Yet he’s on as many different big broadcasts, as you said.

There's no more than 1 west matchup if that that you could say Dallas has no shot
Could see that. I still kinda think Golden State is a nightmare. And I think I might look at a 7-game with New Orleans and not feel good about it.

He’s eventually salary filler in a deal they make. And he’s obviously more palatable around the league when he’s shooting well, so the Mavs needed him to get going.

I just don’t know that they’ll have any interest in tossing a pick into any smaller deal.

Jokic is still Luka’s son. The gap is widening, too.
Not the best matchup for Denver with Jokic being a drop big & Luka being naturally more aggressive.

Similar issue they have with Steph & the Warriors.

You see DJ didn’t get off the bench last night  He’s supposed to be the backup, so they don’t actually have one.

Obviously Murray continuing to find his way back will help. And unlike Kawhi he’s actually been playing consistently this year so it’s possible he can find his form a several months from now. Time will tell.

I just don’t buy Murray being a night in night out all-star level guard THIS year, and I think he needs to be in order to take them seriously.

Jamal Murray's per game averages are on par for his career, but his shooting percentages are understandably down.

I would worry more about the clock ticking on Aaron Gordon's carriage.

Murray has never been that good. Think he's only hyped like that in this thread. He's always been very pedestrian

He needs to be Bubble Murray, IMO.

I'm 4 boosters in. About to go get the new variant booster this week.
I missed my 4th one due to getting the Covid last July. not sure if the new variant booster has that variant as well and see if I didn't need to double-dose.
