I find it wild that South Sudan doesn't even have an indoor basketball court in its entire country. Luol Deng is helping to build nine of them. If you didn't read the SI piece, it's incredible what he's done in his home country. He played for England in 2012 as he was a citizen, and South Sudan had literally just become a country. The fact they're in the Olympics in 13 years is insane. Props to Luol Deng for carrying the legacy of Dikembe Mutombo and spreading basketball throughout Africa. This is what it's about. Again, the Dream Team effect. Basketball is firmly the #2 sport in the world, and seeing random countries rise up is awesome. It makes for much better competition.

The whole luxury tax and second apron seems to be a made up construct by the owners and probably limits/hurts the players more.

Celtics have a great core. Pay for it like Golden State did. Or risk it like the Clippers did. All of these owners are billionaires. The cost of the brick is going up. Just seems like a cost cutting measure to create lower operating costs.

Free agents don’t go to Cleveland. Young player with huge potential that just had a promising playoffs with great defense against the Magic and was showing out against the Celtics. You have to pay them that nowadays. If Mobley develops his offensive game more, he’ll be a huge threat
