You're not wrong... But that's on elected officials. Instead of being mad at Steph we should be mad that people are even allowed vote whether or not someone can build new buildings on land that voters don't even own I don't disagree with your post, I just think Steph isn't the person you should be upset with here.
to be clear I'm mad at everyone.
but I think it's important to establish that what they are doing is harmful, selfish, and at odds with their stated values.
Ayesha and Stpeh are out here, kneeling for anthem and protesting.
but when confronted with a chance do a tangible thing to help people.
they turn into pro police state capitalists.
there is tons of misinformation about housing,
and both people on the left and the right will try distract from the real cause of the problem.
and I think it's really really important we are super clear, when people engage in public NIMBYs behavior.
especially when they claim to be progressive. because a lot of people legit don't realize the harm this is causing.
it's a teachable moment. imo.
