Well said. It’s so fn annoying too. Because there are legit gripes….but NBA media damn near created this toxic environment.
We wouldn’t have the stupid “we’re done with the 90s” and “plumbers talk” if the former generation weren’t such haters on current basketball….which in turned made the new generation become reactionary trolls, with no history.
I don’t know what’s worse. One is dishonest (the later). The other is bitter (the former).

I was really hoping the league would steer away from Inside for this reason.

In the early 2000s Charles was complaining about players not being able to beat a zone defense.
A decade later, he was complaining about teams shooting too many threes, especially the Warriors.
5 years ago he and Shaq said big men aren't aggressive enough in reference to Embiid and Jokic.
It's a side effect of the NBA having big focus on individualism and the amount of the growth during all of it. It breeds contempt.

I dunno - I would have called that in real time (saying as I’m now a qualified ref
) and on review he definitely steps into Harden’s space - and it looks like his jersey/chest catches his elbow - not a lot of contact but I think it’s a shooting foul.

One of the things that’s probably changed least in the decades I’ve been watching the NBA is how consistently inconsistent the refs are and how often they blow calls. It’s hard game to officiate in real time by human beings.
There are years when the reffing appears worse across-the-board for a period of time, but it usually levels out.

I hate when old heads **** on the current game and I hate it when young guys disrespect the old legends.
but fundamentally I think this is the problem that comes with having too many games that don't mean anything.

The Boston commentators have discussed Payton Pritchard's Over/Under nonstop since the mid-third. One day I looked up and realized that I gamble almost daily. It's wild how fast this caught on. And it's not even in every state yet.
