I remember when opening my first business I really wanted this one location for a medical office. Walked in to a sex/porn shop on the block to make an offer to buy the guy out. After he eventually agreed, he gave me a tour. Basement was full of cubicles with creepy middle aged men watching porn in cubicles. Some covered the curtains, some didnt.

This was in 2019. I was shocked.

All the more reason that there should be a greater emphasis on teaching people financial literacy starting very early, at home (if the knowledge is there) and in schools, IMO.

Smoking and alcohol kills. Gambling ain’t ever killed anyone. Everyone has a vice. Every adult has choices. If you don’t have the intestinal fortitude to control yourself, that’s on you.

There are more liquor stores than schools. Every convenient store has a wall full of tobacco products. From Cigarettes to dipping tobacco.
