SGA deserves to be in the conversation but Joker is playing at a different level than everyone else and is 1.5 back from the 2 spot working with far less talent. I’m opposed to the narrative of it being “his turn”.

Top 3 reasons why the league is watered down right now:
1. Three chucking. Mid-range game is dead and the post-play is a consolation for not being able to get off a good look from 3. Derozan is the last of a dying breed.
2. Zero physicality. Smacking somebody in the head gets you kicked out. *****. This makes me appreciate Draymond more, in a soft league he’s one of the few still willing to go upside somebody head if they get out of pocket. Bring back the hard fouls and enforcers. The league needs villains, everybody can’t be the good guy.
3. Load management. Piggy backing off number 2 if the league is softer on fouls how tf are guys getting hurt more now than ever. Dudes be out with hurt fingers and stubbed toes, cut it out. If it ain’t broke, twisted or hyper extended you need to out there, folks pay too much to see half the roster for the majority of the season.

Actually, if you look at the top 10 scorers in the league right now, all of them except LaMelo have a good to elite mid-range game. With SGA at the top. It’s a pure fallacy that the mid-range game is dead in the NBA.
And it’s even more prevalent in the playoffs.
