The Official NBA Season Thread

Other night in Nola, lucky to say have seen Bron do this live many times, from regular szn games, playoffs, and Finals games, the end is near tho!

He was talking bold like he really believed that nonsense he told us several years ago. Me and Bron mutually decided it was time to part ways. Obviously, now that he is back in their circle he’s forgetting himself. Bron had to remind him of himself apparently.

De'aaron Fox is in season 8 and is playing the best ball of his life. Thats why I always feel like we should judge players based off age instead of seasons played. Most ball players are going to play they best ball from the ages of 26-33ish. Part of the reason why we should be patient with young players but also not overhype them either.

Time really flying dawg. Fox don’t seem like a dude that’s been in the NBA for 8 SEASONS :lol. You telling me that the Lavar era was a decade ago? Insane. Felt like yesterday for real. Triple B’s ♾️

But I feel you 1000%. That’s the way it SHOULD be. But a certain someone changed the narrative, and seasons played became the metric. Age 26-32 seasons are players LEGIT prime. You see them at their best, here. And it’s been proven forever. All the best win around this age.

I’m actually very impressed by cp3 btw. To be a 40 year old PG that’s still can start, contribute to winning and be effective at 6ft is insane.

Adding DDR helped. He didnt necessarily improve in anything he was doing already. Much less attention now and overall more freedom against worse defenders.

I keep seeing his teammates being blamed but he plays such a heliocentric style of basketball that his teammates are always going to suffer. If Jokic doesn't have the ball in his hands 99% of possessions, he doesn't know what to do. They got away with it the one year they played nothing but 6th and 8th seeds, but Denver is slowly realizing that you can't win with that heliocentric style of play.

Whaaaaaaat!? You mean drafting reclassified 18 yo's to be the face of your team and make an immediate impact ain't the way :rollin

Prime is certainly not above 30, especially in the modern NBA.

I'd say prime is really probably between 25-28 for most guys.
