They got so many health problems now (the last four years really), it seems unlikely that they would trust him.
There's been enough breadcrumbs that I think trading for JV seems very likely.

Problem is does LAL want a center for +$20 mil that may end games on the bench. You'd be in the same position as now with DLo. Vuc is the perfect fit play wise, but he's likely on the pine at the end of games with AD running the 5. Vuc/Brook/Capela/etc.
MIL figured it out with Brook and won a championship. I'd like to think AD could cover enough ground to be a 4 next to a traditional 5 and that Bron would be willing to entertain chasing guys around at the 3 again if it meant offensively things would be that much easier.
Nick Richards ($5 mil)/Val ($10 mil)/Kessler (rookie deal super cheap, but if Ainge wants two 1sts
) are the prime targets due to that. WCJ was another fit this summer before he resigned.
