Realistically speaking this is an actual debate.

KD’s per game numbers are better than Kobe’s in every statistical category.

They have the same number of FMVP’s and MVP’s. KD’s downfall is he never built a strong fanbase like other superstars which is why he is disrespected how he is.

Objectively speaking if I have to gameplan for 1 of the two I’d rather deal with Kobe every day of the week than KD

When KD is a better scorer at all 3 levels?

JMB10215 said Kobe is a more “resilient scorer” which is true. KD has surprisingly never scored 60. He’s not getting them up and hunting them like that, or still shooting on a really bad night. KD used to protect his efficiency . Being a resilient scorer can be a good thing, where you shoot yourself back into a game, or find other ways to score…which I agree with JMB10215 on, that Kobe…is which is why I’d also give the edge to Kobe over KD
