The Official NBA Season Thread

Can we get an all-time list of resilient scorers?

Can we get a CURRENT list of top resilient scorers?

I come in peace.

If you look at the most shot attempts taken by one player in a single NBA game. Wilt owns 15 of the top 20.

Kobe is the only player in that top 20 who wasn't playing during Jim Crow.

I come in violence.

If anything the difference between watching them is that KD is a more consistent scorer.

While Kobe has higher highs and lower lows. That is their main diff in terms of scoring the ball.

The "I come in peace.." line gets me every time :smh::lol:

… still managed to get two rings (sans Shaq), 10 seasons of 5+ assist… higher career assist average than KD and 1500+ more assists. So whilst being a volume scorer… still managed to play make and get teammates involved:lol :lol

KD is a prolific shooter. No one is discrediting that. He’s in a league of his own. Him and Steph and a few others… be that as it may, dude still doesn’t win :lol :lol

Kobe Bryant for his career averages a grand total .3 more assists a game than KD while simultaneously having the 3rd highest career usage rate of all time.

So Kobe is a less efficient scorer, and playmaker while having the ball in his hand way more than KD.

Now if the argument is Kobe is more accomplished than KD, well sure it's hard to debate that. But a better individual basketball player? Take away the names and just look at the numbers and it's not close.

Kobe had the ball more and they both average the same amount of turnovers too.. 3.2 for KD and 3.0 for Kobe… if anything, KD sold himself short and should’ve shot MORE :lol

How many all defenses for KD?

The irony in saying that is the so-called next generation #MambaMentality torch bearer made that practically impossible.

So let me get this straight.

Kobe had the ball in his hands more than KD, took more shots per game than KD but scores less points per game on lower FG% inside and outside the arc...

Averaged the same amount of assists per game...

But Kobe is better? Ok.
