The thing that gets me is that we didn't need to see it in practice for us to know it was a mistake.

On paper it looked bad.

And the players get no major concessions in return

Vucevic is absolutely worth a late FRP. Especially to a desperate team like the Warriors

He finished 4th in DPOY voting last year, which is “recogniztion”. Which one of these years should AD have been recognized?

Got some new players on rookie scale, 1 they just extended for 18 per but then traded for and drafted similarly sized guys, keeping overpriced, malcontent loser vets like LaVine and Vuc for 2 yrs too long but they’re content becausr they are leading in attendance. They got too timelines, two endgames (both tanking and going for it) and failing in both. Pick a lane, If you dont care just clear salary and lose for cheap.

Last year the Spurs had a better d rating in Wemby’s minutes than the Lakers had in AD’s minutes. The gap is even wider this year despite Wemby’s increased load.

Bad leadership. They should've been focusing on rebuilding at least 2 seasons ago, maybe 3. And the longer they keep Lavine, the less they're gonna get.
