I used to, but I no longer do. Having said that, I used to go on somewhat exotic trips to places where it would have been almost impossible to replace mine. Now that I don't really do that anymore, I don't have much need for a backup. I have yet to have a camera fail on me.

It's pretty useful - I use the black and white effects quite often - takes seconds to do as good a job as me in 15 minutes.

Completely new to photography and looking to pick it up as a hobby. The pictures i've seen here are really amazing, but all the model numbers and lens options and what not have me confused If I were looking mostly to photograph models for streetwear, sneakers etc. what would you guys recommend to start with? Also what editing programs would serve best for that purpose?

What is the name of the exhibit? Ive seen a few pics of the mirror shots on instagram before? I live in CT so NYC/Boston are my closest major cities I'd sayFinally made it out to this exhibit. Should be headed to your major city sometime in the future.

for editing purposes...should i get adobe elements or get the adobe CC ($9.99 a month subscription) with lightroom and photoshop cc ( i think thats what comes with it)

^ I wouldn't get elements. I'd get the CC package. Lightroom is nice for quick editing. Photoshop is more powerful than elements.

I know you guys have heard this a million times by now. But I'm completely new to photography as well. I just purchased a Sony a6000. I love the ease of use so far, and the size.
But I just wanted to shout everyone out in here for being supportive to the newbies. There's tons of info in here. It's definitely a bit overwhelming.
