One shot with the 70-200mm over the weekend.

So I'm looking for a new 50mm! I've been having real inconsistency issues with my nifty fifty.

The obvious pickup would be the 50mm STM for it's bang for buck.

I wouldn't mind getting the Canon 50mm 1.4, but I've heard it's not really worth it over the STM.

But I have heard good things about the Sigma 50mm (non-art). Anyone ever use this lens?

The STM is really the best bang for the buck

Yeah, it's what I'm leaning towards. Can't beat $110 for a new lens. Could also put that left over money towards a body upgrade.

its been awhile since i went to shoot, but heres some shots from today. feedback would be appreciated

posted this already as you can see but if you really look at the images at full size its grainy as i was using 1600 iso. i know they are not the cleanest images, but does it diminish the photos in your guys opinion? you cant see the grain that well in this smaller size, but just view the original...

Yo!

So I literally picked up my camera for the first time in almost a year this past Saturday :rollin

But I do have a question: What are y'all using besides Eye-fi to shoot and show pictures instantly? Didn't really like Eye-fi and I think I lost it.

Also: I'm looking for a kit replacement so I can start shoot people outdoors. Are these good deals?

Those lenses will for sure capture pictures. I recommend looking into lenses that may have a bit less versatility but produce much stronger image quality.

here's a few examples:

Nikon AF-S FX NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G (if you want some awesome background blur)
http://amzn.to/2ni0vW0

For portraits I highly recommend 85mm. Nikons 85mm 1.8g is a great choice

Tamron Auto Focus 17-50mm F/2.8 SP XR Di II VC

If you got the $$$ to spend and want a phenomenal all around portrait lens:

Flourish, homie! Can't wait to see what you come up with.

by far my favorite lens, man. I want a longer prime. gotta stack my chips.

I had been holding out to see how that 85 Art performed, but it wouldn't be right if I didn't cop the L.

You thinking about the 135?

yeah i want the 135 pretty bad.

I actually had the 135 art pre ordered and everything but adorama goofed my order then put me at the back of the backordered line.

So i said f it and built out my living room to be a gallery show room for IPS clients.

I've got the Tamron 17-50 and it's an awesome upgrade from the kit lens.

I just got the 1.8 50G too and it's great for portraits.

Damn that sucks; hopefully the order gets fulfilled soon.

Gallery show room :eek :hat

does the grain in this image diminish it? i was at 1600 iso for this and i realize i could have over exposed to compensate but you know....

heres the direct link. click the picture to make it full size

grain looks fine to me.

You can lower the blacks & raise them in the tone curve to give it a matte finish. but honestly i dont dislike it.

Man that not too far from my place. Saw already a few folks taking shots this weekend. Might head over there soon to get a few shots. Don't know the location of the spot tho
