Getting the deal of the century on a D90. $600 for the body, 35mm, 18-105mm. Looking forward to the upgrade

For those that own a Leica, is the experience worth it?

I don't plan on buying a new model or going over $1000, but I've been researching these bad boys lately and I am very intrigued.

Being fairly new to photography, I really don't care for all the extra bells and whistles that are packaged in your entry-amateur level DSLR - I just want to take great pictures. I do admit that I am really drawn to the video capabilities found in the 60D and T3i, but I'll sacrifice those for the sharpness, fast shutter, full-frame, silence, and size of the Leica. Oh and the user experience.

Some have described it as a very organic experience, since you are more a part of the picture-taking process, with the essential buttons being right there where you need.

I want this (specifically the Digilux 2), IF it's all it's cracked up to be. Is it?

My 2nd set on flickr, my 2nd pet photo shoot. It's been easier for me to practice portraits on dogs while i get the hang of things...so I don't waste time for models while I act like a total amateur with my camera lol. Let me know what you guys think , i've only been doing this for 2 months. All of those shot with the 50 f/1.8mm nifty fifty.

pentex can compete with nikon and canon with the RIGHT GLASS...i use sigma lenses, but there are cheaper brands, i have a 500mm from "opteka" and a fisheye adapter from "opteka" for both i spent ONLY $190

whats the best cameras that shoot good in the dark?

My man, amazing photos here! You mind explaining the equipment used/lighting/and anything else that might be important?

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I'm also checking out the links OP provider on the first page to do research on what would be a good entry level DSLR

Not mine but I had to share.

The way the light cast a shadow on the side of evil and shines on the other is dope.
