On 2 hours of sleep... Didnt get to shoot much today but heres #3 of 365:

Story: Everyone, meet Bokchoy (yep that's his name). This doll reminds me everyday of how lucky i am to have met my Boo. It reminds me that in life... certain events happen for a reason. Events like how we met at a charity date auction. I was up for sale (piece of meat) and she was brave enough to place a bid on this stud. Ever since that day, i just wanted to rip my heart out and give it to her. <3 you Boo.

Is this a good deal? All of this for $1200. Maybe I can try and talk him down to $1000?

Canon 18-55 IS II Lens
Canon 430EX II Speedlite (Flash)

Peace y'all.

Can anyone speak on the Rule of Thirds?

How important is its mastery, any tips on how to apply it best, how much do you stick to it or purposely break it when taking shots?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Finally picked up a bag myself. Went with the Clik - Compact Sport.

A little sporty for my steez, but it was hard to find something functional, compact, and not too techy.

Since today was such a miserable day, i’ve decided to bring back a blast from the past. These pictures was taken within the first couple of weeks of purchasing my camera; Summer of 2011. As i was walking around streets of NYC with my camera wrapped my neck, i hear some grown #@% men hollering at me. I turned around and sure enough it was a bunch of construction workers catcalling for… my camera. They volunteered themselves to be photo subjects and i just started snapping away. Afterwards we exchanged information with each other and they made me promise to email them the photos. Talk about a cheap photography group session, #hustlin. These pictures may not be technically sound but i appreciated this moment of spontaneity. It felt like God was encouraging me to pursue photography as a passion.

Just picked up a Targus 60 inch tripod from Target for 30 bucks. Probably will barely use it but I couldn't resist.

#5 of 365: Ball up

"Yo, where you play at?" I'd tell em, "i play at the park under the bridge". Haha, well technically it's under the highway but that's what we used to say to outsider cats who tried to compete. This park was my second home and basketball was a way of life. I'm glad this park is still around because all of my childhood memories were stored here. I remember nights where i'd play so much that i'd forget to come home for dinner. At times, my mom would have to physically drag me off the courts so that i could eat dinner with the family. I was crazy. At that time my mentality was Basketball > everything. This was a place where i'd practice my "And 1" moves, practice my left hand layups and straight kick it with my friends. The lessons i've learned on these courts were ENDLESS. Best believe i'm introducing my children to sports.

It felt great to come back and reminisce. This is my shot of the day but it won't be the last shot i take in these courts.
