The Official Photography Thread - Vol. 3

Alright party people, I need some help.

I'm trying to help a friend put together a kit for around $1k for a trip to Europe he's taking this summer. He was debating between the T2i and the T1i, and after a good deal of reading, I'm recommending that he go with the T1i. I say that because the T2i is still very new and will see a bug or two and I don't want him to get screwed and be camera-less in Europe. Also, the additional 3MPs and other variable frame rates will mean nothing to him.

Here's where you guys come in. I'm scouring the internet looking for a kit with: T1i, 18-55, 55-250 (Lord, forgive me), 50 f/1.8, a sling bag, an extra battery, and a memory card.

I'll be searching as well, I just figured you guys wouldn't mind helping out.

EDIT: I'm trying to avoid giving him an eBay kit with the awful fisheye and macro extension tubes with 1000 other POS items. I think that'd be too overwhelming.

At the bring your own big wheel even in SF. Not a real photogenic photo but he was funny nonetheless.

I got a Nikon d3000 two weeks ago went to Vegas and loved taking pictures so much That I bought a Nikon d90 today, cant wait to start playing with it. Any suggestions on what kind of lens I should get next. Thanks.

I might have some extra funds next month and might be looking to upgrade my camera...

T2i or 50D?

Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated

My boy shot this with my camera. He hated it saying it looked bad cause the mirror was dirty, but its by far my favorite shot from that day.

I've been slacking lately. I shoot often, but editing on a netbook SUCKS!!! I need to get a proper computer soon.
