Here's 4 of the 12 pics I turned in for my first project in my beginning photography class. They were shot with a Canon Rebel with a Macro Lense.









I think I'm getting the hang of this photography thing. I need to buy my own camera instead of using the school's so I can get some more practice in.

All in all I'm satisfied with the way the project turned out given that I have no real photography experience.

Thank GOD for Photoshop.

Hi guys. I've been playing with cameras for about 2 years now and recently level up-ed to a Rebel XS. But it seems I'm still not able to take photographs in public. I'm alright with a softbox and macro-ing all day. But as soon as I step outside, my eyes don't seem to be able to pick up interesting stuff, or that I'm shy to click the shutter.

Any methods to overcome this beginner photographer's block?



This was an exception as my uncle was beside me when I snapped it. If it wasn't for my uncle, I wouldn't have had the guts to go close to this man and took this picture.

Anyway, it's grave cleaning season and this man's playing the violin for his deceased relative (i think it's his dad).

Can somebody point be in the direction of a good tripod for my panasonic lumix dmc fz28? As I just started really experimenting with photography, I don't want anything super expensive, even though my main concern is not price. Rather, I am more concerned with functionality, and I want something compact and versatile. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
