First attempt at installing the hack on a regular production PS3 Slim caused it to brick and won't boot anymore

the hack wont work on the new super slims or slims they supposedly have a LV 0.2 key different from the LV1 keys the fats have.
your ps3 has to be on FW 3.55 or lower to install the CFW

Vita owners, I suggest looking into Zero's Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, its getting great reviews.

12 years ago today, one of the greatest consoles ever dropped in the US. I was right there at midnight scooping up the big blue box and Tekken Tag Tournament. Graphics blew me away, and when I got SSX, it was over.

No problems installing it on the old 80 gig dev kit. Partially because it's a fat and partially because it's really easy to flash the firmware to whatever you need. From what I understand Sony will be able to use new hardware to stop the hack. We've been playing around with a newer dev kit this morning trying to get it to work but no luck yet.
The biggest item we're trying to test is what has to be modified on the network side from our end to check for modded files if this becomes rampant. It's never been a real concern but it now could potentially be one. The problem in this case is that it's up the the developer to look into these things and not Sony but once one studio finds a reliable way of doing it (with regards to this specific hack) others will follow suit.
If you still have a working 60 gig the re-sell price should go up a lot.

I stopped following that game since people said you need to play the prequel on the DS. Is that still the case?
