I always thought that was the name of the producing game, you get a sound that catches on and you roll with that MF for a while.

Then you go back regroup and switch it up to something new. Rinse, wash and repeat.

Swizz, The Neptunes, Timbo, etc. all had eras where they had similar elements in their beats. At least IMO.
