Johnson was so up & down, but Muzz also sorta disengaged in the 2nd.  Stevie had his chances.

Good win for Rafa too... Thomaz was playing really well, but also saw his form drop way down during the business-end of things.

Rafa's also got a dubs final in an hour or two!  Gonna medal regardless!

Entertaining match so far!  Both guys are playing reasonably well... Delpo was on fire early on, but errors creeped in towards the end of the 1st.  Rafa's been solid.

Happy for Delpo given his struggles, but ultimately, it was a case of "sad for the loser" cuz both guys put so much into this match.

Then Puig wins the gold medal. Went through 3 GS champs and was a 200:1 underdog to win the gold medal. Amazing!

It wasn't just the "Brazilian" crowd... there were a lot of idiots who affected both players... as well as a lot of proper fans of course.  The irony was that they Delpo fans would chant "Delpo" between 1st and 2nd serves... which actually hindered him.  Imagine if Rafa had lost to Belluci... it woulda been BRA vs ARG!

Anyway...

Think the Olympics mean a lot to them?

Rarely do you see this sort of emotion on a tennis court... awesome.

Nadal upped his level slightly but absolutely disgusting choke/nerves from Kei serving for the match twice.

Serves for the match twice, after not being broken all game, and gets broken each time. Then at 6-5* he holds to love. Goes into the tiebreak and loses 7-1.

Don't think I can ever cheer for him again if he loses this match.

Kei finally is able to serve it out... but what's this about him taking a shower after the 2nd set?!  Not sure if it actually happened or if it was an exaggeration.  He did take an 11min break, that's for sure... which is pretty long.  Surprised the umps let that slide.
