The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Glad I got hohokum for free on ps plus because I would have had serious buyers remorse. Couldn't figure out what the **** was going on in that game. tried again. Nope. Delete.
Same feeling I had with tower of guns.

I didn't realize how many of you guys were hype for The Witcher. I'm still debating if I want to get it day one or not. I should have the platinum for Bloodborne sometime this week so I'm considering The Witcher now.

Anybody picking up Final Fantasy X/X-2 next week 8o

Is the plat for Bloodborne hard to get? Any missable trophies, and how long did it take u to get it?

So glad I didn't delete that ****.

Bloodborne is annoying me, I'm still near the beginning and I've lost to every beast I've encountered, multiple times. Ran into a hunter on a roof that spanked me. I cut the system off after I fell into the sewer and got killed by oversized rats. I shouldn't have picked the axe. Will hit up the bloodborne thread to help me wrap my mind around how to get through this without dying so much.

The axe is probably the best weapon to start off with. I chose the saw cleaver and struggled a bit. It'll get better as long as you keep playing. You start to learn enemies' attack patterns and movements. What level are you? Sounds like you may be under leveled, I don't think I had any problems with the rats in sewers. There is a nice farm spot that you can use in the beginning of the game. That'll grab you quite a bit of levels. Add me on PSN if you want and I can help you out maybe this weekend.

Definitely going to need help, logged 2 hours before the rage quit, I didn't pay attention to my level. The fat knight in armor with the axe is the first beast I saw so I tried to fighting him a few times, He lunges everytime I throw a Molotov or attack and dive back. I didn't even bother with the beast beating on the door, psyched myself out of that one. That's when I ran into the hunter on the roof that's way too fast for my character. I didn't stand a chance. Should I be going back to the hunters dream after getting blood echoes or nah.

Yeah you use the blood echoes to level up when you go back to the hunters dream. One tip I can say is be patient with the enemies and study their attack patterns like Centex said. Once I started paying attention to how enemies moved I was able to go through the game much easier. I need to hop back on it but I don't have the time for it

Fast hunter on the roof? Was it a boss fight? Also don't be too aggresive. Those big ogre looking things are powerful early in the game and will usually kill you if they manage to get a combo on you. Go in and get 2 hits and dodge. Watch that stamina bar too. You don't have a lot of it in the beginning so you don't want to overdo it. When you gather a good amount of blood echoes, go to the hunter's dream, talk to the doll and channel your blood echoes. This is how you level up.

dodging right before they strike makes you invincible for a split second

axe is the best weapon you can start it. I started with the cane. :x

Speaking of visceral attacks, I thought for the longest that meant attacking with R2 :lol

I got my first true visceral attack last night when I was facing one of the chalice dungeon bosses, I was like what the hell was that. That damage :smokin

iYen iYen how far are you now?

I still can't beat Vicar Amelia In Bloodborne. I get her down to 50%,she starts healing her self, and eventually I get tired and slip up to get killed by a 2-3 hit combo :lol

It happen to me as well. I had to get the Kirkhammer and stick close to her to keep her from healing.

I'm gonna hold off on my NG+ playthrough but there's still a lot for me to do. I missed the Cainhurst armor, I didn't even use majority of the weapons (Ludwig's Blade :smokin) and there are some side quests I missed since I killed all NPCs :lol

A NPC might have been who I attacked on the roof outside a building, he started talking basically saying I effed up and killed me.

I tried to read through all the posts and I don't think it's been mentioned so make sure you keep in mind you have to at least encounter the Cleric Beast (1st boss) to start leveling up.  If you haven't gotten to him yet you'll need to do that first.

:lol Alfred, yeah you did the same thing I did. Unfortunately you can't undo this, every time you go there now he will try to fight you.

Good call dgum, I was going to say this but I wasn't too sure if this was true or not.
