The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

what difficulty did you play on?
Normal, I'm sure a harder difficulty would have slowed down my progress, but the game length is still somewhat short. I cant imagine those desert eagle guys with lasers on the hardest difficulty or the "spaniards."

Capcom’s Resident Evil Team is Working in VR

Capcom has already revealed that it is working with virtual reality (VR) tech. Earlier this year the company revealed Kitchen, a horror tech demo that has been showcased with the PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD) for PlayStation 4. It was safe to assume the company would be carrying on with its work in VR, then, but today that’s been confirmed. In fact, it’s been revealed that the company’s Development Division 1, which handles the popular Resident Evil survival horror franchise, is developing its new engine – already revealed by VRFocus – and videogames for VR.

This much was revealed in Capcom’s ‘Integrated Report 2015‘, which was released today and picked up by GamesIndustry.biz. The group is headed up by Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi, who VRFocus reported was working on the company’s new VR engine back in June.

“At present, we are focusing our energy on challenging the virtual reality (VR) game market,” reads a summary on Development Division 1. “In this terrifying world, you can twist and turn as you like, but there’s no escaping the creatures closing in on you…until you remove your VR headset and return to reality, that is. We delivered this very experienced [sic] with our ‘Kitchen‘ VR technical demo at E3 2015. The response was excellent. Currently, we are building a new game development engine able to support VR, which is the hottest market right now, while simultaneously developing titles for current game consoles. We have just set sail on our latest voyage.”

The division will be working on a mix of new and old IP for VR. Resident Evil itself is a franchise that is regularly discussed amongst the VR community. Last year producers on the series 2 most recent entries, a remake of the original videogame and Resident Evil: Revelations 2, noted that they were ‘stoked’ for VR and had even asked to build the original title’s mansion in VR for them to explore. Currently a remake is Resident Evil 2 is in development as is a multiplayer spin-off: Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps.

The Kitchen was already a hit in all the tradeshows that had Playstation VR in it so this is most likely a step up from that. Who knows, it might be a feature in Resident Evil 7.

I'm currently playing on Crushing and I just made it to chapter 5. I did it on Crushing on PS3 and it's not too hard, just have to be patient at times.

I'm glad I spent more time with SW Battlefront beta because at first I really liked it, but global matchmaking, the lack of a server browser, no ping listings, and no voicecomm is too much for me to excuse. Also, season pass wtf.

Me 2, wasnt impressed with the gameplay, think im passing |I sucks because i was looking forward to this

Guess ill keep going with metal gear

Nice pics jetpacunlimited jetpacunlimited :smokin

I want to invest in a gaming PC but no idea what I would play on it. I'll always prefer to play with friends and my boys ain't bout that life

I might restart UC2 on crushing so I don't run through it, thankfully I'm not far into the game. This collection has given out a bunch of trophies, I was getting them left and right in UC1.

it's definitely a bit more challenging and also fair at the same time. I might even do Brutal before UC2 drops but from the streams I watched, 2 shots = death

Is 20/2 mbps good enough for no lag gaming on ps4 or should I go for the cheaper 15/1mbps
I think 20/2 should be just fine. As long as no one else in your home is streaming anything heavy while you play.

I was on Uverse internet at around 16GB and I got by just fine when playing online.

yes but you still have to grind those specific weapon kill trophies.

No problem at all with chapter select.

Guess I'll be buying the collection then since I never got to plat 1 and 3 since my copies went missing after lending them out. :smh:
