The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

It's because there's a lot to do in the game that it can feel overwhelming if you aren't really doing anything story wise
Right, but I have had that experience with Fallout 3, New Vegas, and Skyrim and didn't have this issue.

Maybe because it's ever more open and with very little restriction in what you're doing at any time. Could be the type of gameplay... hard for me to pin it down.

im actually loving the witcher 3. Seems like a more polished, streamlined skyrim.

i updated last night and the game is completely different.

changed a bunch of stuff. made one armor a higher level, changed my mutigens from 10% to 5%, etc

my only gripe is minor; alchemy

so once you make a potion, it's always made, i.e. you dont need to get the ingredients anymore

which is more streamlined than skyrim,

HOWEVER

now you have to navigate through 100 potions to find the one you want to use lol

touchpad control would have been so clutch for these clunky, unresponsive menus

the game does seem less open than other sandbox rpgs, tho

its almost like each land is a "level" and once you level up over that region, you move on to the next one, etc.

the items are pretty limited, as well. i hardly loot corpses (on some fallout 4 steez) cause they drop garbage 9/10 times

Just beat UC1. Sick game. Looking forward to the next 3 now.

You are plowing through these games. :hat
Do not get hooked onto trophies :lol

You''re in for a treat though with the next 3.

Idk man, I loved each game in the series. Obviously, it's the "worst" in the series but still a must have/play game imo. I do wish ND would've released Golden Abyss as part of the collection. I played it but never finished on Vita.
Apart from the final boss, it was such a good game. I loved the bounties and the other extras. Gyro aiming was great too.

A PS4 port should have been made since no one's getting a Vita now.

Thinking about grabbing this samsung seagate 2TB laptop HDD for my PS4, anyone have any insight or recommendations on a HD?

Thanks broze.. 8o

Get one that is 7200 RPM and If you plan on getting a PS4K/Neo in future then make sure the HDD you get has a SATA 3 interface.

Uncharted trophies are so easy to obtain. The collection allows you to get each platinum in about 15 hours each since you can play Crushing right out the gate.

Nier, Persona 5 and FFXV is all I could have time for.
Can't believe I have to be selective with JRPG's. I guess it's a good problem to have :lol

Based on this list, my priority list...

1. Star Ocean 5 (it releases before FF XV)
2. I Am Setsuna (same as ^)

3. Final Fantasy XV
4. Exist Archive

World of Final Fantasy probably jumps Exist Archive but I'm not sure when it releases. I think Persona 5 will release in December but I haven't finished P4G and would like to give it one more try. I don't think Nier Automata will release this year and if it does. I know DQ 11 won't release this year in NA, otherwise it would be right behind my #3 most anticipated JRPG for the year.

Tales of Berseria is also releasing beginning of next year too.

Very excited about Final Fantasy XV.

The trailer with the stand by my music had me w/ non stop goosebumps :x :hat

Overall I think every Uncharted game gets better with each entry. The only gripes I had with Uncharted 4 were
no Chloe and I felt like Elena and Sully didn't get enough camera time. I also wasn't really a fan of Sam like that but I don't think his character was designed for you to "like" him like that.
i liked Sam he reminds me a lot of Nate in the first 3 UC games and the way he was so determined to find treasure even if he was putting others at risk. he is a great contrast to Nate who wants to move on from that life and really helps to show how mature Nate has come along since UC3 he's been in that prison for so long he never got the chance to adventure like Nate has and wants his chance at it even though he does lie about the entire thing he was always thinking about Nate first
I was always a fan of Chloe but it does suck not to see her or even my man Charlie from UC3 make an appearance in the game but ND is saving them for DLC in the future no doubt.

Yeah I don't think FF music will ever compare to the Uematsu glory days but that theme song and the rest of the music I've heard is on point.

I totally agree. My favorite FF is IX and that music will forever stay with me.
This x 100

Im not one to get into soundtracks, but Final Fantasy IX is special.
