The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Played and beat Until Dawn last night. It only took me 8 hours of a straight play through. I ended the game with 3 survivors.

Pretty dope game but to me Heavy Rain is still better than it. Looking forward to Detroit Become Human.

@@empirestrikesfirst how was Ether One? I know it's an easy plat w/ a guide. I played for about 30 minutes when it first dropped and never played again

Its basically a FPS exploration game. I read some articles on its over-arching themes and it interested me so I gave it a shot. Ether One wasn't great, but I did like the story. It's a fairly unique theme, but pretty easy to figure out about half-way through what is happening.

There are also a couple pretty frustrating puzzles that were poorly designed and the game is notorious for bugs, although I never ran into any.

It was a PS+ title a while back, so it was nice to bang one out of the backlog quickly.

Yeah I've been clearing some titles out too. God of War 3, Murdered: Soul Suspect and TF2. I'm working on FC4 but I doubt I'll finish before FF drops.
Yea same here. I got through all 4 Uncharted's and a bunch of indie stuff I have collected. I didnt want to start anything big until after FF XII.

FC4 and Primal were a ton of fun. I really like those games when it comes to clearing the maps. Ubisoft does those type of games better than most.

I really apreciate them after playing a few hours of Saints Row IV.

Which was better FC4 or Primal? I'm having a hard time with FC4 keeping my interest, it's just boring to me. I just needed a few missions so I figured I'd go ahead and finish it. FC5 looks good to me.

I'm a fan of Ubi as well. I know a lot of people dislike them but they're good in my book. I can't wait for AC Origins :lol

for all u XII heads I can't wait to see what the dalmasca werstersand will look like on the ps4 (sandstorm) another AMAZE level

I know I'm late on these, but I just got around to finishing Nier: automata and then started Nioh. Man has PlayStation been on a roll lately.

Nier was a fantastic game, which left me thinking about it days after completion...especially how it tackled themes like sentience, faith, God, the search for meaning in existence, etc.

Only like 6 hours into Nioh, and I love it. Because of its mission based nature, it'll never touch From software's best in terms of jaw dropping level design, but the gameplay is addictive and challenging.

Will there be online play? I probably won't play it much, I'm more interested in the story.

Definitely.

Original Dissidia also had one of the best fleshed out single player campaign for a fighting game and that was on PSP.

2017 has been one of the greats IMO.

My wife saw that D2 Pro and wants to get it for my soon to be 9 year old son :lol

NIOH. Here we go :lol
New weapon is Tonfa Batons and we're getting a new difficulty. The grind begins anew. Oh god. :lol
I guess I'll have to go back in and get everything up to 210 (+20) before the new DLC drops. That way I wont feel completely underpowered when I go into the new difficulty. :lol

That reminds me, you still need to finish demon mode dont you? Wait till you see RotG on Demon. Prepare to spend hours on it. :lol
And I cant wait to see what new foolishness they are gonna add to that mission in the new difficulty. :{
