The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Crash 2 is so much easier than Crash 1. I'm still dying a lot, but at least no more slipping off ledges :lol I gave up on Crash 1 during the second broken bridge level.

I beat crash 1 a couple days ago. I forgot you can jump on the ropes on the side and just walk on them to get past a lot of the crap. Made stuff so much easier. Almost done with crash 2.

:rollin

Damn I have seen the future of VR and boy its tough :lol

bruh the last time i had that happen to me was guitar hero bought the 2 guitar kit from gamestop just to try and trade it in 2 weeks later to find out GS doesnt accept GH trade ins had to sell it on craigslist.

Im glad i looked up the trade in values before that VR shipped and went past my return window would of been pissed if i walked into BB or GS to be offered less than $100 for it :x

bruh, they offered 9 bucks for the VR

i saw that too when you take off the controller :lol

prey is good i got that.

Man i bought that PSVR on prime just to cancel it now after seeing how much trade in values for it was if i decided to trade it in :x

Best Buy only offering $16
GS $72

Why is the trade in value so low for something that cost $400?

Is it because people wear it on their head?

cause nobody wants.

U can do it..beat that level in crash 1

cause nobody wants.

as funny as that sounds i refuse to believe it.

The reviews on amazon everyone is happy with it.

i think it has to do with it being worn on your face is why the trade in value is so low.

VR just doesn't work on a mass scale. They haven't figured it out.

They been trying it out for 20 years :lol

Comes out and seems good but then a few years later we are like 'oh yeah I remember that.'

Just grabbed the Uncharted PS4 Slim bundle off Prime. Decided to finally upgrade from -- or rather, add to -- my 60gb PS3.

Can anyone point me to a good cooling/charging stand designed specifically for the Slim? The ones I'm seeing are either really cheaply made or not compatible with the Slim.

Or do I not even need an external cooling fan for it?

TIA

Best Buy is phasing out the trade ins I could say that's why it's significantly lower than GameStop

It's low at GameStop because it's in stock and probably a hard to move product especially preowned

Amazon does trade ins as well, you could also sell it.

i.e. cause nobody wants it used

not even used. nobody wants it. if they were hot commodities best buy would offer more to have more used units for sale.

the people who WANT VR have already bought VR

there is no secondary market for it.

i dont think it has anything to do with it being used...

people buy used shoes.....but wont buy a used VR set?

it's just like when a brand new game comes out, it's hyped, everyone buys it, and it's 15 bucks used 20 new 3 months later.....not because nobody wants a used copy, but because the market is flooded with used copies...it's not a hot commodity.

I tried the PSVR and enjoyed it but I need games for it, AAA games. I'm not paying $400 to play Rigs *shrugs*

even amazon wont take it as a trade in :{

this is the heart of the problem.

not enough innovation, nor is the technology advanced enough to make up for that lack of innovation.

almost how the touchpad on the controller is an afterthought....

IF a game even supports it, it uses the "press the pad in" as opposed to actually manipulating it.

Crash 1 is the hardest of the 3

I zoomed by it so I can enjoy 2 and 3

2 and 3 are so much fun

can cop right now for

View media item 2489431naw i only tried the rock climbing game.

I do have a Pro tho.

Do u have the VR?

I think ima pull the trigger and see if i like it if not i i will return it.

I got the headset paired with a pro.
I always advice people to try it out in case they get motion sick which you eventually get used to anyway.
I don't have that issue and it's amazing.

VR is the longest honeymoon period I've had with gaming and it's still going on.
Most people who have it like it.

I think it's a hygiene issue :lol
Like the way you can't return underwear once the pack is opened

One thing I know is, they're not sitting on shelves.

Comes out and seems good but then a few years later we are like 'oh yeah I remember that.'

The only reason its coming out now is because the tech is ready for the mass market.
We didn't have good enough screens with high resolution, refresh rate and low latency needed for VR. We didn't have consoles or PC's powerful enough to be running 2 independent images at 90fps.

VR needs a lo t of juice but we've been trying so long that now that the tech is good enough, I don't see it leaving at all. This is just the beginning.

The main barrier is price. Unlike Kinnect or Move, PSVR costs a lot more than the console itself and its one of those things you have to experience it before seeing how good it is but communicating that to people is hard.

Capcom said RE7 was successful and they're jumping on VR. Bethesda also behind it too with Skyrim, Doom and Fallout. If that's not good enough then I think it's fine to sit out this gen of VR.

When the PS5 hits alongside the 2nd wave of VR titles, expect to see a lot more in the AAA space.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands is tempting...But I'm not sure if I'll enjoy it at that price. May wait for a bigger price drop.

Damn, those dudes beat the second bridge level after 162 deaths :lol :{ Definitely not even going to try anymore :rollin I tapped out after the first 10 Game Overs

Again, I'm not sure how the hell I beat this as a 7 year old :lol
