The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Ion fury 7.5/10

fun solid n64/ps1 style FPS. only thing I hate were some of the puzzles that added nothing and the constant back tracking. Want the physical copy.

Copped a couple more lights and shared it with the NT famb...M$ definitely needs more exclusives

Going to try to hold off on all my sports gaming buys (as well as other games) until PS5 comes out

always have both systems but going to try to only have one this generation since the systems are so similar these days. Most of the exclusives i dont even play

Need more info on these systems though, new gens always excite me. I have an LG B8, wondering if ill need a new TV to take advantage of the system

I’m actually excited to see the MS conference on Thursday. Obviously I’m hoping we get to see some third party stuff but I’m excited to see Halo Infinite as well. I won’t cop a Series X for it but I’ll be there day one on One X via Gamepass.

Also excited to see the biggest bomb being dropped
Lost Odyssey 2 and Blue Dragon 2 🙏🏼

Dope. I finally got the true ending in P4G. Looking forward to replaying the best game in the SMT series again (Nocturne).

Those games are so :pimp:

I think I am gonna spend most my time playing PS4 games (hopefully enhanced) on PS5. Probably just rock with 2k.

Yea, I'm in for third party games and general next gen eye candy.
I want to see next gen stuff even though it sounds like they're making games for everything including OG Xbone.

Also wanting to see if Lockhart will look like a Gamecube but its probably going to look like the XboneX.

My guess is:

Standard Mode - 4K/30 with Ray Tracing and all the visual goodies.
Performance Mode - 4K/60 with no Ray Tracing and possibly 4K Checkerboard instead of native 4K

As it's Insomniac, they might do the same for Ratchet also. Not had a 60fps Ratchet since A Crack in Time on PS3.

You guys hoping for a 60fps mandate probably won't get your wish but next gen is looking better than ever.

Demon Souls and Spider-Man both with 60 fps modes.
Deathloop is 4K/60
GT7 is 4K/60
Dirt 5 has a 120fps mode.

It's looking .

4k/60fps should be standard on next gen.

Hopefully they can also boost the PS4 Spider Man on PS5 :D

I expect most of the Major Sony first party games to be running 60fps easily on PS5.

I still firmly believe that not all games need to run at 60+ FPS. Plenty of genres work just fine at 30 fps... only ones that really shine @ 60 are fighting, FPS, and racing games.

Isn’t it hard for games on PC to run at 4K/60? Why everybody think it’s going to be standard on next gen consoles. It’d be dope if we could get 1440p/60+

I'll be perfectly fine with games running at 1440/60+ next gen. 4k is nice, but the fps really change the experience for me.

Started Sleeping Dogs last night
This game is so dope, I forgot so much about it since I last played it on PS3.
Stacked cast, dope soundtrack and I LOVED the story. It's one of the tightest games in terms of content too, not too much fat in terms of side stuff.
-face time
-finding the statues so you can go train at the temple
-dating the girls to get different upgrades
-pullin those side heists with Jackie

Right now I'm setting up cameras with Teng to catch Popstar's supplier.

Didn't understand what it meant by "Definitive Edition" since I have never even heard of the extra content, so I can't wait to dive into that post main story.

It'd be a blessing to get some next gen sequel because it incorporated some great things for an open world game, but I know that's just wishful thinking.
