Sony dropping 2 new "Ready for Ps5" TVs

Sony has announced the release of the Sony Bravia X90H and Z8H which are both going to be marketed for use with the PlayStation 5 under a new ‘Ready for PlayStation 5’ banner.

The X90H is a 4K Full Array LED and the Z8H is an 8K Full Array LED. The X90H will display your games in 4K at 120FPS with a low input lag of 7.2ms whilst the Z8H will showcase games in up to 8K (as well as 4k) at a super smooth 120FPS.

You mean with the bundled with the hardware or something you can buy standalone? Sony already showed off their camera but it won't be free.

Bundled was my hope, although I understand it would warrant a higher price point. Just feel like having one with every console by default would really give these platforms the push they need.

I'm interested. I stopped by GS yesterday after work and they had no clue if I pre ordered through them if I would get a code for the early beta access. I think it's only for PS4 digital pre orders only off the PS Store which sucks because you get charged the full amount up front when pre ordering games off there.

This is the TV to get for next gen if you don't want to go the OLED route.

I'm still going to wait till next year as i think there will be more options.

I’ll say this about Sony. The PlayStation + Sony TV combo is amazing. I’m watching DVDs on the PS3 and they look better than my 4K Netflix (Using The Office as my comparison).

Watched the Blu ray of Crazy Stupid Love and it was better than my Digital copy on Movies Anywhere as well.

I don’t have an OLED either.

Yea, A TV with HDMI 2.1 and and it's gaming features like VRR and ALLM is the way forwards for next gen.
I think those in combination with 120Hz will get the best experience for next gen.

Yeah but if you have a decent 4k you'll be good for awhile. Games aren't gonna be running at 120fps or 8k that soon. Assassins Creed Valhalla is 30fps on the new consoles. If you're making a long term investment go for 2.1 but I'm waiting a couple years until the content is there/the prices drop a little on those tv's.

2.1 will definitely look better than 2.0 yeah but not enough for me to make the move yet.
