Independent chains not Gamestop or Best Buy. However, they've become essentially worthless around me because their supplier won't give them games before street date. What y'all consider mom and pops video game stores ? I don't think I have any around me
I think it's stupid Y'all are arguing using studios who signed on a piece of a paper for exclusivity rights, rather than looking at first party developers.
First party devs should be the backbone of the consoles. It's one of the few instances in the industry that allows teams to learn, collaborate, support, and cultivate talent from each other since they're all under the same financial umbrella. Those dev teams are also the ones making the most income for their respected parent (console producing) companies.
Look at the track record of Ninteno's, Sony's, and Microsoft's first party developers and then resume your argument.
But I think it is stupid to ignore 3rd party games
And lets not act like they are not the first ones to get the axe when the books look bad. And if we go by recent history, Sony has done its fair share on destroying 1st party teams.
Yes 1st part is preferred but 3rd party exclusives have their place. I get the Titanfall deal is not viewed in the best light, but lots of 3rd parties have benefited greatly from MS's money..........And lets not foget Sony did a very similar move last generation, but their FPS bombed hard
There is always a flip side

You gotta come with some type of article or something....
Read my comment. He was saying those FRANCHISES focus on MP. You used their original games.
Keeping getting those cheques though. I wonder if Stephen Elop will dot the "i"s with hearts like JLG did.

Oh I totally understand since I'm on the flip side and I'm not taking sides in this debate. But there is a food chain.
I think a comparison between first party vs. first party and third party vs. third party is a more fair judgement. I also think (in the SP/MP focus debate) when you look at was has been developed previously and what is currently in development from first party studios you can get a sense of what the focus of each console makers was/is. Believe me when I say that the console makers will bend their studios to their will to push their next 5 year agenda.
^Which game last gen?
I give you a hint. FPS, was suppose to come to Xbox too, exclusivity deal on publisher level, tons of hype thrown behind it. Just like Titanfall is now
Only difference is that it bombed so hard Sony fans erases from their memories.
Rhymes with maze

-And like all arguments I have with dudes in there, there is almost no crime MS has committed that Sony isn't guilty of too. Sony had a extremely similar deal to Titanfall last generation
I mean, Square-Enix probably thinks it's a failure, but...
The Last of Us Passes 6 Million Sales
Pretty impressive stuff.
by Luke Karmali MARCH 14, 2014
The Last of Us has sold over six million copies worldwide, Naughty Dog has revealed.
The studio made the announcement regarding its post-apocalyptic epic in a blog post detailing plans for the talks team members are giving at GDC 2014.
The news come hot on the heels of the game's success at this year's BAFTA Game Awards, where The Last of Us picked up a massive five awards. We got a chance to speak to creative director Neil Druckmann at the event, where he revealed the upcoming movie will be an adaptation of the game, and also spoke about a sequel.
We previously heard rumours that a sequel to The Last of Us was already in development, though it seems nothing solid has been decided.
Last week, Troy Baker, the man responsible for bringing Joel to life in The Last of Us, revealed he'd be interested in reprising his role for the movie if asked, and urged fans to trust in Druckmann's vision. He's equally as interested in returning for a sequel, should Joel once again feature.
One of the best of all-time. I'd put it in my top 5 for sure.
What was wrong with it?
Dang I only have gamestop and something called guerrilla games
Brah it is just bad in every aspect. Bad visuals, horrible script and voice acting, runs bad, unbalance, poor pacing, bad gunplay.
Before it was released, the hype reached ridiculous levels. "Halo killer", the "Starcraft of FPSes", "Like Crysis, but better", "Bioshock meets Halo" Pure foolishness.
Xbox 360 had it's turn later on that year with Too Human though, aka "Diablo is Space"
