so in the xbox thread they talking about the xb1
it seems u cant play madden without being connected online
as well as titanfall is useless without a connection
and u cant watch movies unless connected online
so its pretty much a paper weight
what about the ps4???
is it true on the ps4 u need to be connected online to play downloaded games

It is for NBA 2k14, if the 2k servers are down, or if your internet connection is not working then you cant save nothing.

Brahs, I have a confession to make. I've been in the Xbox thread talking about Titanfall. My cousin is gone for a month so he let me borrow his Xbox One, and I've been enjoying myself ever since. I have previously expressed my lack of interest in FPS because I have been FPS'ed out over the past 10 years. But do yourselves a favor and try Titanfall

Its a refreshing take on FPS - wallrunning, parkouring, double jump boosters, wall sticking (like the first time you played Megaman X) Titans and all the little nuances that come with them. Put your prejudices and fanboying aside and give Titanfall a shot. When I return the Xbox, I'm going to definitely get it for the PC.

Like one poster previously said, I've come back to the point where I want to abandon my responsibilities and fiend for my next session of videogaming. This generation is a great time for me to get back into games. Infamous and Tomb Raider are next on my list to download.

I've played my PS+ without being logged into PSN. I think there is an expiration date in your PS3 for all PS+ games so if your PS+ runs out and choose not to renew it then the games are no longer playable.

I'm definitely going to check again though when I get home

for PS+ free games i thnk you need to be online to verify you have ps+, for any other download you can play without a connection.

and rep to ESF for the help with that expert sphere grid.

The main difference is you have to spend a power,mana,ability,hp sphere to claim the associated stat/ability

There are some exceptions... I know Ive played a couple free games offline (DMC I think was one). So it may be up to developers...

Or maybe it just checks once a month or something.

Because you bought COD, yes you could play campaign and bots.

Had you gotten it from PS+ for free, no you could not.

With Infamous: Second Son behind us, Driveclub in an unknown state, and The Order: 1886 coming later this year, 2014 seems a little barren for PlayStation 4.

Well, Sony is seeking to dispel that with a huge list of games still coming sometime in 2014. There are over 100 of them, in fact, and while a vast majority of them are tinier indie games, there seems to be plenty to keep both triple-A fans and indie players alike happy.

and Im telling you, the only way you cant play a game on PS4 offline is if it's a free PS+ game! And even that is a game to game basis.

You can play single player games offline, you just cant run a dvd becuase its using a bluray app. Im sure itll be fix with a patch.

Titanfall is dope. Most fun I've had with a game this generation (granted I haven't bought/played SS yet) and I'm not even a big FPS guy. I just started playing the genre this year

XB1. When you pop in a bluray/dvd, it tells you to download the bluray app. I assume it connects to the internet (maybe piracy issues?).

I don't understand why anyone would want to play a twitch FPS with a controller. I'm not saying people can't play well with a controller but I certainly feel like a mouse and keyboard is certainly a superior way to play.

That being said, I thoroughly enjoy the game. On PC.
