man i have been playing sims 3 for a few weeks now and it sucks when the game crashes before i can save it. I am running 4gb of ram and yet it takes up a gigby itself. I have to run a personal external fan to the computer fan.

I dont know why sims is so addicting. Been playing sims 3 for a couple weeks also.
Sims 3 has slightly better graphics than sims 2, but the biggest feature I think is the rewards systems.
Getting a certain task done gains you a certain amount of points in which you can by certain traits.
Although the traits arent that interesting, just trying to complete each task is the addictive (yet repetitive) part

I like building 3 story penthouses in the Sims 3. I have my own private elevator (sort of) but also a private pool on the top floor.

I have the Sims 4 downloaded but never got to installation yet.
