I tell them I copped from NTNY when asked where I got a pair. It's mostly true. Idk, I answer honestly. Then when I was asked for a hookup I'd just say no. What you think this is? Give the free world a discount? FOH.

On another note, I don't really hate on other people's collections. I've learned everyone has a different eye for different stuff. I don't see a point in saying some people's collection is wack. You simply buy what you like. Everyone builds their collection differently.

I'm trying to post pics up on the LC section, but I don't have enough posts :(

So here's 1 post to add in order to eventually get there, since I've already paid for some AJ6 Brazil's and think that they may possibly be GM's. lol

Actually, anyone happen to know how many posts I have to reach before having the ability to post pics through PB?

Oh no question. Total dummy move. I typically NEVER do that. It was definitely one of those ridiculous teenage impulse buys. If they turn out to be fake(which I'm leaning more towards), it's going to be a harsh lesson learned for me.
 
If you're looking at a shoe you want to buy from someone and want to get a good idea of the true condition of the shoe, request pics of the outsole.

The only reason I don't ask those questions is because I'm too lazy for the back and forth.

I find a price that's just about what I'm willing to spend for a shoe that's in a condition I like and then toss out one attempt at a lower price. If they go, great. If they don't, it's whatever since I only even make contact if I'm feeling the initial price anyway. I always find it funny to hear sellers complain about people trying to get better deals though.

Like, is that not what a sound buyer is supposed to do in a setting that is heavily negotiation-based? As a buyer I don't give a **** about how much profit you're trying to make or what you consider to already be a fair price, I'm going to take my shot regardless unless you say that the price is firm and that you aren't willing to negotiate.

I even often find that the sellers who complain about dealing with these questions also hunt deals and can't help but wonder if these deals never entail doing exactly what they hate having others do to them. Just feels like something that people only take issue with when they're on the receiving end of it.
 
Yea, I have no problem with buyers trying to find great deals since I would too in their shoes. But questions like "what's the lowest you'll take?" is an absolutely idiotic question especially when we have listed price. It's like they're expecting the seller to lower their asking price without you even throwing out an offer, any seller who do that needs a lesson in negotiations.
 
I can agree that asking that is moronic. Like what kind of answer would you expect to a question like that? If you have enough interest in a shoe to contact someone, you can at least look at where the price is at and throw a specific counter offer out there.

While on this subject, I hate when sellers on social media want you to text them just to find out how much they want for a pair.

Why wouldn't you just put it into the listing and save yourself the effort of sending the same thing over and over to a bunch of people, with some inevitably ending the convo right there if the price is out of their desired range?

Indeed. Another possibility is that she may be so creative with her approach, she had the kid artfully make his own punishment sale sign. Too bad the pic isn't clear enough to spot any tear stains. I don't even know why I'm coming up with this fantastical story lol.
