I'm slowly learning little phrases and picking out key words from sentences. Knowing Spanish helps a lot because there's words in Tagalog that I automatically know what it means. But when I learned that there's more than just Tagalog (visayan, ilocan, chavacano, etc) I decided to just stick to Tagalog since my girl used to know visayan.my parents still only talk to me in tagalog. i can speak tagalog very fluently but i'm just more comfortable with english. moms gets irritated because i speak nothing but english to them.she doesn't like that i'm too americanized i suppose
