IDK why people are ashamed of their background, we overhead this lady speaking Spanish at airport here in Dallas and she was telling the guy next to her that her parents were mexican. But she "wasnt", even though she was born there. She was brought to the US at 8 months, and has since lived here.
I was born here in the US, but both my parents fled their countries to come here. I am proud to be Latino.
Can only refer to my experience so once again "here", where I live, people are pround of their origins, by people I mean people with foreigner origins. It is badly seen to be to pround of being FrenchIDK why people are ashamed of their background, we overhead this lady speaking Spanish at airport here in Dallas and she was telling the guy next to her that her parents were mexican.
