A lot of people these days don't know how to decipher what's legit or not.

IMO, if a legit company like Nike reached out to me through DMS on IG or Twitter, I would be disappointed in their recruiting. There should be expectations when it comes to major corporate brands.

Yup. Only Social Media platform I would believe a company attempting to recruit me would be through LinkedIn.

This. But shows an example how gullible people can for the simplest of scams. Imagine if it was something more devious, like phishing scams or social engineering.

I've had that happen often. Worse is when you can't leave until certain parts of a project are finished. I do house painting so I still have to instruct other workers before I leave the work site. Sucks.
