You should be able to get liquor breaks like people get cigarette breaks in my opinion.

I had a debate with a classmate 12 years ago that there won't be a freak of nature phenom on the level of Lebron James for a long time. By long time I meant 10-15 years since Lebron was in HS. So far there hasn't been. The closest is Zion Williamson.

You don’t think Zion is on par with Bron at the same age? I’m not saying he’s anywhere near the basketball player but son is 6’6”, 285 lbs dunking from the free throw line.

He comes closest to Lebron but he is a notch below. Keep in mind that the version of Zion we see now is a year after HS. Lebron was a legit All Star as soon as he stepped foot into the NBA right after HS.

I am speaking pure athleticism and not necessarily basketball skill, impact or ability as I thought that was the intention of the original post. I do recognize it is a year removed from HS which is why I said at the same age. Probably the most hyped prospect since Bron too

They got swept dude, (lost by 9 and 11 in SA and 3 and 1 in Cleveland). Without that home court advantage, I’m not sure they take it. SA also clearly had the better coach. Plus, with the exception of Game 2, those games were in the 70s and 80s so I’m not sure just tossing Boozer out there makes a huge difference.

As far as pure athleticism, Zion is physically stonger and Lebron is quicker. But with all things considered and without hindsight, if both were in the same draft at the same age, we know who would be picked #1.
