The NBA will experiment with new start times on national TV in an effort to boost ratings in the upcoming season to showcase its biggest stars, led by LeBron James, to as many people as possible.
Ratings sagged last year in part due to James’ move to the Lakers and their late national starts for East Coast viewers.
After the NBA studied the variables, the amount of 10:30 p.m. ET starts on TNT and ESPN will be cut drastically from 56 to 33 this upcoming season. The majority of them will be on TNT’s Thursday night marquee, which is sandwiched around the Charles Barkley-led “Inside the NBA.”
I wouldn’t say that’s gaining power, just good business. If we’re gonna keep it a buck, East Coasters have been complaining about this forever. It’s just magnified when your best teams are out West.

They're still going to let him play, but will milk and humiliate him at the same time. It took a decade plus to groom him, and they will use him for whatever they still can. If he was left to rot why would I have been so adamant that he will get Anthony Davis to the Lakers even after the "Jewish Money" incident.

LeBron says "rich Paul rule" and the media ran with that, and blasted the NCAA over the weekend for it actions towards his friend and colleague rich Paul. That is what we call Influence.

Who has ever denied he has "influence"? Anyway, the fact that they even tried to implement this rule was a jab at Lebron James, and to take away his power. He found a loophole using his close friend and agent to move around players in the NBA. So the NBA and NCAA did this to step on his toes and warn him to not try anything slick or else...
