the thread about nothing...

6 miles today. Most I ever ran at once. Slow pace but felt good. Felt like I still had something left in the tank.

How do you go from slower to faster
I’m the total opposite
I go from faster to slower 😂

Awesome run. Elevation gains look fire.

For progression runs I start with a warm up for the first mile or 2. Light, easy, even pace. Slowly pick up each mile but always keep a pace where you have something left in the tank. On the last mile push what you can.

It helps to go on runs where you keep a steady pace the entire time. I did this a lot in the beginning. Helped me find out where my comfortable/uncomfortable pace is. From there I gradually picked up the pace each mile little by little. Sprint the last 1/8 mile, then later move to sprint the last 1/4...1/2, etc.

Stepped out last night.
Long story short, when/why is it damn there acceptable to be neck deep in coke in public?
I dont like it.

Wells Fargo fined another $250 million for failure to pay back wronged customers from 2018 consent order. I’ve been with them for 17 years. While I have never had an issues, I’m afraid I’m going to wake up one day and this bank will be no more. Will be a **** show for everyone trying to figure out how to get their money out.

I also have a local credit union account. Really thinking it’s about time to transfer everything over.

1967? Damn bro.
Yes, and Wake in Fright from 1971 ^^
Some old movies are great and the time passes differently, you could sometimes find them slow but they take their time, they don't rush AT ALL
Exceptions could exist, like a period in which many movies were slow for like 90 % of their time then all was resolved at the very end...
Both could enjoy 90's/00's ones and older ones, they also could talk about things old fashioned like strange friendship

I've never gotten into older (Pre 80s  ) films for the most part. I've heard Papillon was bomb, but that was only when the remake from a few years ago dropped and people were saying how trash it was.

It's 02:54 AM and teenagers discussing outside / in front of apartment, why they can't just go away, it's not like they were telling interesting stuff
I'm not sleeping but how do they believe they got to do this ? Already old I guess but we didn't do this, at least I didn't...

I think if we're talking about american movies (because I mainly watch american and french movies so I couldn't say for the other countries) 60's and 70's were great decades, and special effects weren't what they are today so they could try to tell stories, build flow of ideas in order to make a movie, sometimes you could resume the entire movie in a few lines, but it's not really about what it tells but how, atmosphere films, simple movies. Quite long movie shots or still longer than nowadays. That's why (like Martin Scorsese in order to be arrogant  ) I hate Marvel movies
I like simplicity and a certain realism, investigation or bromance, things like that, superheroes not for me, I'ld rather prefer to watch Freddy Krueger or films like that than superheroes
A famous franchise could resume this (only saw the I, II, III) : Rambo.
One was great, not just about action, the veteran just want to be left alone and he just reacts while II and III...
